Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 HD HXEU008R is an electronic coastal chart for the Bay of Biscay, built for use on compatible Garmin chartplotters and offered as either a preloaded microSD/SD card or a download.
Coverage runs from Binic, France to Cabo Finisterre, Spain, which suits coastal hops along Brittany and the French Atlantic coast, plus passages down the north coast of Spain.
BlueChart g3 charting combines Garmin and Navionics content and includes planning layers such as Auto Guidance routing, depth range shading with up to 10 depth ranges, and shallow water shading at a user-set depth. Some areas include detailed contours down to 1 foot where available in the chart data.

Variants
This chart is offered in multiple configurations so you can match the chart tier and delivery format to the way your system is set up.
Variants differ by chart version (BlueChart g3 vs BlueChart g3 Vision) and by format (preloaded card vs download). The region is Bay of Biscay, with HXEU008R used for BlueChart g3 and VEU008R used for BlueChart g3 Vision.
- 010-C0766-20: BlueChart g3, SD Card. Preloaded microSD/SD card that is used by inserting it into a compatible chartplotter.
- 010-D0352-00: BlueChart g3, Download. The chart is installed to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, then used in the chartplotter.
- 010-C0766-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, SD Card. Preloaded microSD/SD card that adds the Vision chart layers on compatible chartplotters.
- 010-D0437-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, Download. The chart is installed to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, then used in the chartplotter with the Vision chart layers supported by your unit.
Compatibility and fit
This chart works on Garmin devices that support BlueChart g3 for the regular versions and BlueChart g3 Vision for the Vision versions. Confirm compatibility for your exact chartplotter model and keep the unit software current so the chart layers display as expected.
The SD Card formats are supplied on a microSD card with an SD adapter, so they fit either slot style as long as the unit supports the chart. For download formats, plan on a dedicated microSD/SD card; when installing with Garmin Express, only one chart product can be installed to a single card at a time.
Installation and setup
For the preloaded card versions, power down the chartplotter, insert the card, then power back up and allow the unit to index the chart the first time.
For the download versions, the chart is written to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express on a computer, then the card is moved into the chartplotter. Chart downloads and updates can also be managed through the ActiveCaptain app on compatible systems.
Use notes on board
Auto Guidance can help with route planning, but it is still a planning aid. Always cross-check the suggested path against local conditions, notices, and what you see on deck.
This chart is a good match for skippers who run the Bay of Biscay regularly, whether for coastal cruising, fishing, or longer passages, and want chart layers that make depth and hazards easier to read on a Garmin plotter. The Vision versions suit crews who want the added perspective of 3D views and imagery on screen.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
