Overview
The TACO Marine Carbon Fiber Flag Pole is a carbon fiber boat flag pole range for mounting a flag in a standard 1-5/8" rod holder or gunwale mount. It comes in 26.4" and 54.5" lengths, with the shorter pole matched to 12" x 24" flags and the longer pole matched to flags up to 3' x 5".
The pole uses TACO Marine's twist-and-lock J-Lock system so it can be inserted, locked, and removed without loose hardware at the mounting point. Carbon fiber construction keeps the pole easy to handle, while an Awl Grip clear coat adds UV protection for exposed deck, transom, gunwale, and cockpit locations.
Key features
- Carbon fiber pole with Awl Grip clear coat for UV protection in exposed marine locations.
- Patented twist-and-lock J-Lock system helps the pole sit securely in existing mounting hardware and reduces rattle.
- Fits standard 1-5/8" rod holders and gunwale mounts for common boat installations.
- 360° tangle-free swivel lets the flag rotate with wind shifts and boat movement.
- Corrosion-resistant hardware supports use around saltwater and spray.
- Precision tapered wedges, including a 30° wedge, help fit the pole to angled mounts.
- Available in 26.4" and 54.5" lengths to match common marine flag sizes.
Variants
This flag pole range is offered in two length configurations for different flag sizes and mounting proportions on board.
The length and recommended flag size change between variants. The carbon fiber construction, twist-and-lock J-Lock system, 360° swivel, tapered wedge fit, and 1-5/8" mount compatibility remain consistent across the range.
- FP-0125-CF24, 26.4" length. This size is matched to 12" x 24" flags, which suits smaller stern, transom, gunwale, or cockpit flag displays where a lower profile makes sense.
- FP-0125-CF54, 54.5" length. This size is matched to flags up to 3' x 5", giving larger center consoles, cruisers, and sport-fishing boats a taller flag presentation.
Installation and fit
Mount the pole into a compatible 1-5/8" rod holder or gunwale mount, then use the twist-and-lock action to secure it. The tapered wedge system helps control movement in angled holders, including installations that use the 30° wedge, but the boat still needs a suitable holder or mount already in place.
The flag and rod holder are not included, so match the selected length to the flag and confirm that the mounting location has enough clearance around rails, outboards, canvas, antennas, and dock lines before installation.
Use on board
This range is a good match for owners who want a removable flag pole for dockside display, weekend cruising, tournament days, or running the boat at cruising speed with a flag mounted aft or along the gunwale. The swivel helps in shifting wind because the flag can move without wrapping tightly around the pole.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the pole and hardware with fresh water after saltwater use, especially around the swivel and locking area. Check the mount fit before each run so the pole is fully seated and locked before the boat gets underway.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
