Overview
The Vimar Plana pull-cord push button is a 1-pole, normally-open (NO) momentary switch rated 10 A at 250 V~ with a 1.5 m pull cord for quick activation from a berth, head, or utility space.
It is a flush-mounted modular device that snaps into a Plana mounting frame and sits behind a matching cover plate. The unit is rated IP40 and measures 44.8 mm wide x 49 mm high x 35.2 mm deep, which keeps it practical for protected interior panels rather than spray-exposed locations.
On board, this style of switch is commonly used as a pull-cord call button, a momentary input to a relay, or a trigger point for lights and fans where you want a simple pull action. It is a good match when your boat already uses the Vimar Plana system and you want the pull-cord device to stay consistent with the rest of the switching.

Variants
This pull-cord push button is offered in multiple finishes to match the rest of a Vimar Plana installation.
The electrical function stays the same across the range: 1P NO momentary contact rated 10 A at 250 V~ with a 1.5 m cord and an IP40-rated device body. The visible difference is the color and surface treatment.

- VM14052.SL: Color Silver. A clean fit when your Plana installation uses silver-toned controls and finishes.

Compatibility and fit
This device is part of the Vimar Plana modular family and installs behind a compatible Plana cover plate using the proper mounting frame and back box for your installation style. Allow space for the 35.2 mm device depth plus wiring bend radius behind the panel or bulkhead.
IP40 protection points to use in interior areas that stay protected from washdown and direct spray. For damp locations, plan the mounting so the device remains inside a protected panel or enclosure.
Installation and wiring
The contact is normally open and closes only while the cord is pulled, then returns to open when released. This makes it a natural choice for bells, call circuits, and control inputs where you want a brief signal rather than a maintained on/off state.
For loads with high inrush or motor starting current, route the switch to a relay or control circuit rather than switching the load directly. Secure the pull cord so it hangs freely without chafe, and keep it away from doors, locker edges, and moving joinery.
Use on board
This is a practical option for boats that already use Vimar Plana switching and need a pull-cord style control in a head, berth, or utility area where reaching a wall rocker is inconvenient. It also fits installations where a momentary control input is needed for a relay, automation module, or alarm call circuit.
Maintenance and care
Wipe the front surface with a soft cloth and mild cleaner, and avoid solvents that can haze plastic finishes. In high-touch areas, check the pull cord for wear and replace the device if the cord becomes frayed or stiff.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
