Overview
The Vimar MASTER dimmer 120V is a push-button universal dimmer for 120 V~ 60 Hz AC lighting circuits, using phase-cut dimming for a mix of dimmable load types. It supports 40-400 W incandescent, 40-300 VA electronic transformers, 10-200 W dimmable CFL, and 3-200 W dimmable LED loads when the lamp or driver is rated for phase-cut dimming.
On board, this style of dimmer is commonly used on boats with 120 V AC cabin or saloon lighting fed from shore power or an inverter. The unit is rated IP40 and is meant for protected interior mounting, not exposed cockpit or deck locations where spray and washdowns are expected.

The variants differ by visible color only. Electrical rating, functions, and load handling remain the same across the range.

- VM19135.1.120.B: Color White. A clean look that suits bright headliners and light-colored bulkheads.
- VM19135.1.120.M: Color Metal. A metallic face that pairs naturally with stainless hardware and modern helm styling.
Compatibility and fit
This is an in-wall, flush-mount module intended for Vimar ARKÉ wiring device installations. Allow clearance behind the panel: the device body is approximately 50.7 mm deep, with a front module size around 22.3 mm wide and 49 mm high. It is not intended for Isoset enclosures.
Installation and setup
Wiring is typically a line and load connection with optional normally-open push buttons for multi-point control. Keep all controlled lamps and drivers consistent on the same circuit, and confirm every load is explicitly rated as dimmable with phase-cut control before commissioning. Set the minimum brightness so LEDs stay stable without flicker at low levels.
Use on board
This dimmer is a good match for boats that run 120 V AC lighting in cabins, berths, or lounge areas and want a familiar wall control with low-level lighting for night passages or dockside living. It is not a controller for 12 V or 24 V DC lighting circuits.
Maintenance and care
Use a dry or lightly damp cloth on the front surface. Avoid spray cleaners and keep the device out of areas exposed to saltwater mist, washdowns, or direct weather.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
