Overview

The TACO Marine F16-0151R-1 is a Quick Release Fender Lock receiver only for adding or replacing a receiver location on a boat that uses the matching TACO Quick Release Fender Lock pin. It gives the pin a fixed mounting point at the gunnel, so fenders can be placed quickly at repeatable locations during docking, rafting, or marina stays.

This receiver is made from Type 316L stainless steel with a high-polish finish, which suits exposed deck and cockpit areas where salt spray, washdowns, and regular handling are part of normal use. It is a receiver-only part, so it is the right match when the pin is already on board or when extra receiver positions are being added for more flexible fender placement.

The installation uses a 3/4 inch hole through the gunnel and includes a 1/4 inch drain plug. Once installed, the receiver works with the locking pin to support simple, one-hand fender setup and removal without retying the fender line every time.

Key features
  • Receiver-only replacement or add-on part for the TACO Quick Release Fender Lock system.
  • Type 316L stainless steel construction with a high-polish finish for exposed marine mounting areas.
  • Supports repeatable fender placement at selected points along the boat, helping keep fenders at a consistent height.
  • Works with float-style fenders when used with the matching Quick Release Fender Lock pin.
  • Simple one-hand operation once paired with the locking pin, useful when docking short-handed.
  • Installs through the gunnel using a 3/4 inch hole.
  • Includes a 1/4 inch drain plug for the receiver installation.
  • Covered by a 3-year limited warranty.
Installation and fit

This receiver is intended for a through-gunnel installation where the fender location is needed most, such as near the cockpit, midship boarding area, or stern quarter. The mounting surface should be checked for access underneath, proper clearance, and a clean path for drilling before installation.

Use marine sealant under the receiver flange during installation to help protect the mounting surface from water intrusion. The receiver should sit square to the gunnel so the locking pin drops in cleanly and releases without binding.

Use cases on board

This part is a practical match for boat owners who already use the TACO Quick Release Fender Lock system and want another receiver location without buying a complete lock set. It is also useful as a replacement receiver when the existing pin is still serviceable.

On cruisers, center consoles, and fishing boats, extra receiver locations can reduce the time spent adjusting fenders when moving between floating docks, fixed docks, fuel docks, and rafting situations. The result is a cleaner deck setup with fewer loose lines left tied around rails or cleats.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
