Installation and setup

For best results, the bracket should be installed where the CPT-S can stay in clean water flow with minimal turbulence from strakes, through-hull fittings, trim tabs, or prop wash. A careful bracket position helps the transducer maintain bottom tracking and sonar returns when the boat is on plane.

The transducer height and angle should be checked with the boat in the water before the installation is finalized. This is especially important on planing hulls, where a small change at the transom can affect readings at speed.

Compatibility and fit

This kit is for Raymarine CPT-S transom mount installations. It should not be treated as a universal transducer bracket for other Raymarine transducers or third-party sonar products unless the existing equipment is specifically the CPT-S transom mount type.

Owners replacing a damaged bracket should confirm the transducer body and cable are still in good condition before installation. When the CPT-S transducer itself is worn, cracked, or giving inconsistent readings, the bracket kit will not correct those electrical or sensing issues.
