Overview
The Vimar 8000 Series is a flush-mounted 2P+E P17/11 socket outlet for 16 A, 250 V AC circuits, with screw terminals, IP20 protection, and a one-module body that measures 22 x 50.1 x 32.5 mm.
It fits protected interior installations on board where an Italian standard outlet is needed in a compact modular format. The body is made from halogen-free thermoplastic with a matt finish, and the outlet uses enhanced contact protection together with snap mounting for clean installation in compatible 8000 Series assemblies.
This is a 250 V AC device for 50 to 60 Hz systems, not a 12V or 24V accessory socket. On boats, it belongs in dry interior spaces tied into the vessel's AC distribution plan, such as cabins, enclosed saloons, and service panels away from spray.
Key features
- Italian standard P17/11 2P+E outlet rated for 16 A and 250 V AC
- 50 to 60 Hz operating range for standard AC onboard systems
- Flush-mounted one-module format for compact panel layouts
- Screw terminals for fixed rear wiring connections
- Snap mounting for straightforward installation in the matching modular system
- IP20 protection for protected interior locations
- Halogen-free thermoplastic body with matt untreated surface
- Enhanced contact protection inside the outlet
Variants
This outlet is offered in two color configurations within the same product family.
Across both versions, the electrical rating, mounting style, terminal type, protection level, and dimensions stay the same. The change between variants is the visible front color.
- VM08145, Color Ivory. This finish sits more quietly in light interiors and panels where a softer neutral tone is preferred.
- VM08145.R, Color Red. This finish stands out more clearly on the panel and makes the outlet easier to identify at a glance.
Installation and fit
The insert mounts flush and locks in with snap engagement. Wiring is landed on screw terminals at the rear, so it suits installations where conductors are terminated directly at the device rather than through a plug-in harness.
Before ordering, check that the vessel uses the Vimar 8000 modular format and that the mounting location can accept the 32.5 mm depth. Because the unit is rated IP20, it should be placed in protected interior areas rather than open cockpits, exterior helm stations, or washdown zones.
Use on board
This outlet makes sense on boats with Italian standard AC fittings and a built-in modular switch system. It is a practical match for accommodation spaces, enclosed navigation areas, and interior service points where a compact AC outlet is needed without moving to a larger surface-mounted fitting.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
