Overview

The Garmin BlueChart g3 HD HXEU012R is an electronic chart for the Italy, West Coast coverage area, supplied either on a preloaded SD card or as a download (depending on the version you select) for use on compatible Garmin chartplotters. Coverage runs from Toulon, France to Crotone, Italy, including Corse, Sardegna, and Sicilia, and it also includes detailed coverage of Lago Maggiore, Lago d'Iseo, and Lago di Garda.

On the water, this chart set adds detailed navigation data such as aids to navigation, depth contours, spot soundings, tides and currents, and harbor and marina detail. It also supports features like Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges, shallow water shading at a depth you set, and detailed contours (up to 1-foot in supported areas) for fishing and close-in navigation.

Auto Guidance route planning is supported on chartplotters that offer it, using the depth and overhead clearance you enter to calculate a suggested path. It is a planning tool and it does not replace prudent navigation and local requirements.

Versions vary by BlueChart level (BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision) and by format (SD card or download). SD card versions come pre-programmed and are used by inserting the card into the chartplotter, while download versions are installed to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express and are unlocked to the specific compatible device selected during installation.

• 010-C0770-20: BlueChart g3, SD Card. This is the preloaded card option for plug-in use on a compatible chartplotter.
• 010-D0356-00: BlueChart g3, Download. Install the chart to a microSD/SD card through Garmin Express before taking it to the boat.
• 010-C0770-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, SD Card. This adds the Vision feature set for the same region, with premium layers available where supported.
• 010-D0441-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, Download. Install to a microSD/SD card through Garmin Express, then use that card in the selected compatible chartplotter.

Compatibility and fit

Confirm that your plotter supports BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision mapping and has an SD or microSD card slot. If you are choosing a download version, you will still need a microSD/SD card to load the chart and use it in the chartplotter.

If you run multiple Garmin displays on a Garmin marine network, chart data can be viewed across compatible units when the mapping card is present in the networked system.

Installation and setup

For SD card versions, insert the pre-programmed card into the chartplotter and select the BlueChart map from the chart menu. Keep the card in the unit when you want the charts available.

For download versions, use Garmin Express to install the chart to a microSD/SD card, then insert that card into the chartplotter. Plan on using one chart per card, and treat the downloaded chart as tied to the device selected during the installation process.

If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
