Overview
The TACO Marine COK-0008B-1 is a black Dacron outrigger line made for rigging outrigger poles on sportfishing boats. It has a 1/8 inch diameter and a 100 foot length, giving installers a practical working length for replacing worn halyard line or setting up new outrigger rigging.
This line uses a braided Dacron construction with low stretch and reduced friction, which helps the outrigger system move more smoothly through rings, pulleys, clips, and line stops. The black color also blends well with many tower, hardtop, and outrigger setups where a clean rigging appearance matters.
Key features
- 1/8 inch diameter fits common outrigger rigging layouts that use light halyard-style line.
- 100 foot length gives enough line for custom trimming during installation.
- Braided Dacron construction helps limit stretch while keeping the line manageable during setup.
- Reduced friction supports smoother deployment and retrieval through compatible outrigger hardware.
- Black finish works well with dark rigging components and many modern fishing boat setups.
- Backed by a 1-year limited warranty.
Installation and setup
Before cutting the line, match the 1/8 inch diameter to the existing outrigger hardware and measure the full routing path with enough extra length for knots, adjustments, and final trimming. It is a good replacement choice when the original line is faded, rough, stretched, or no longer running cleanly through the rigging.
For best handling, route the line through clean rings, pulleys, and clips, then check that it moves freely before loading the outrigger system. Any worn hardware that creates sharp edges or heavy drag should be corrected before the new line is put into regular use.
Use on board
This Dacron line suits anglers maintaining or rebuilding outrigger systems for trolling, coastal fishing, and offshore runs. It is especially useful for owners who want a straightforward replacement line with confirmed size, length, color, and material rather than a general-purpose cord that may not behave the same way in outrigger rigging.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
