Overview

The Perko 1046P0SDP is a 2-pin plug-in pole light base for mounting compatible Perko all-round navigation light poles on a boat deck, gunwale, transom area, or other approved horizontal mounting location. It uses a stainless steel base with a black polymer water resistant slide cover, giving the socket protection when the light pole is removed.

This base measures 3-1/2 in. x 1-1/2 in. and has a 5 degree tube angle, which helps set the pole at the correct rake once installed. Pigtail leads are included for wiring into the vessel lighting circuit, making it a practical replacement base for boats already using a matching 2-pin Perko pole light setup.

Compatibility and fit

This base is meant for 2-pin Perko plug-in pole lights in the listed all-round light series. Before replacing an existing base, compare the pole connector style, pin count, mounting footprint, tube angle, and wiring access under the deck. It is not a universal socket for every removable stern or anchor light, so matching the Perko figure series is important.

Installation and setup

Mount the base where the pole light can meet the required visibility for the vessel and where the pole will not interfere with canvas, fishing gear, boarding, or engine movement. The pigtail leads should be connected to the vessel navigation or anchor light circuit using proper marine wiring practices, with connections protected from moisture and strain below the mounting surface.

This base suits owners replacing a worn, corroded, or loose socket for a removable all-round pole light.
