Overview
The Perko 1047 Plug-In Type Base is a chrome plated brass base for removable Perko pole navigation lights, with 2-pin and 3-pin configurations in this variant group. It uses black polymer components, a water-resistant slide cover and pigtail leads, giving the pole light a clean plug-in connection point on a horizontal mounting surface.
The base has a 0 degree pole rake and a 3-1/2 in x 1-1/2 in footprint. The mounting pattern uses #8 oval head screws and a 1-1/4 in socket hole, so the existing cutout should be checked before replacing an older light base.
Key features
- Chrome plated brass construction with black polymer components for exposed cockpit, deck or gunwale mounting locations.
- Water-resistant slide cover helps protect the socket opening when the pole light is removed.
- Pigtail leads support direct connection into the boat lighting circuit.
- Available in 2-pin and 3-pin versions for compatible Perko all-round and bi-color pole lights.
- 0 degree pole rake with a 3-1/2 in x 1-1/2 in base size and #8 screw mounting.
Variants
This 1047 Plug-In Type Base is offered in two pin configurations for different Perko pole light wiring layouts.
The finish, base dimensions, 0 degree pole rake, #8 screw mounting, water-resistant slide cover and pigtail-lead format are consistent across the 2-pin and 3-pin chrome brass versions.
- 1047P00DP: Number of pins: 2. This configuration matches compatible Perko all-round pole lights that use a 2-contact base.
- 10473B0DP: Number of pins: 3. This configuration matches compatible Perko bi-color pole lights that use a 3-contact base, with separate positive leads for the forward bi-color compartment and aft utility compartment plus a negative lead.
Compatibility and fit
The 2-pin version matches Perko 1343, 1348, 1400, 1440, 1442, 1450, 1451, 1452, 1460 and 1470 series all-round pole lights. The 3-pin version matches Perko 1211 and 1421 series bi-color pole lights. Confirm the light series and pin count before replacing only the base, because the pole must engage the connector and locking collar correctly.
Installation and wiring
The base mounts on a horizontal surface. During setup, the pole alignment screw should slide into the notch in the base before the pole is pushed into the electrical connector and locked by turning the collar clockwise.
On the 3-contact bi-color setup, the leads are white for the forward bi-color positive supply, gray for the aft utility positive supply and black for negative. All light circuits need circuit protection; the courtesy light circuit uses a 0.5 amp fuse or breaker, and the combination light circuit uses a 2 amp fuse or breaker.
Use on board
This base fits refit work where the boat already uses a removable Perko pole light, as well as new installations where the pole needs to be stowed between night runs. It suits trailer boats, center consoles and small cruisers that use plug-in navigation lighting rather than a fixed pole.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
