Overview
The Perko 1046P00DP is a 2-pin plug-in pole light base with a 5° rake for compatible Perko all-round pole lights. It gives the removable stern or anchor light a fixed deck connection point while keeping the pole easy to install before running and remove when the boat is covered, trailered, or stored.
This base uses a chrome-plated brass ring with a black polymer body, gold-plated contacts, pigtail leads, and a water-resistant slide cover for the socket. The footprint is 3-1/2" x 1-1/2", and the mounting pattern is made for #8 oval-head screws. It fits 3/4" poles with a locking collar and is compatible with Perko 1343, 1348, 1400, 1445, 1451, 1455, 1456, 1465, and 1470 Series all-round pole lights.
Key features
- 2-pin plug-in base for removable Perko all-round pole lights with matching locking-collar poles.
- 5° rake helps position the pole at the correct angle on compatible stern, transom, or deck mounting locations.
- 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" base size gives a compact mounting footprint for small powerboats, fishing boats, and runabouts.
- Chrome-plated brass ring and black polymer body suit exposed deck areas where spray and sun are part of normal use.
- Water-resistant slide cover helps protect the socket when the pole light is not installed.
- Pigtail leads simplify connection to the boat's navigation light wiring during replacement or new installation.
- Gold-plated contacts help maintain a clean electrical connection at the removable pole light socket.
Compatibility and fit
This base is for Perko all-round pole lights that use a 3/4" locking-collar pole and a 2-pin plug-in connection. It is a direct match for Perko 1343, 1348, 1400, 1445, 1451, 1455, 1456, 1465, and 1470 Series all-round pole lights.
Before ordering, match the existing base style, pin count, rake, pole collar type, and mounting footprint. A 2-pin base should be replaced with a 2-pin base, and the 5° rake should match the pole and mounting location so the light sits correctly when installed.
Installation and use
Mount the base on a solid, flat surface where the all-round light will remain visible and clear of canvas, fishing gear, outboards, and passengers. The base accepts #8 oval-head mounting screws, which are not included, and the pigtail leads connect into the vessel's navigation light circuit.
It is a practical replacement for worn, corroded, cracked, or intermittent pole light sockets on trailer boats and small cruisers. It also suits new installations where a removable all-round light is preferred over a fixed pole because the light can be stowed away when not in use.
Maintenance and care
Keep the slide cover closed whenever the pole light is removed, especially during washdowns, trailering, or storage. Periodically check the socket contacts, mounting screws, and wiring connections, since vibration and salt exposure can loosen hardware or cause corrosion over time.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
