Overview
The Vimar Arké 19005 is a 1-module 2-way rocker switch for flush-mounted installations, rated 16 AX at 250 V with IP40 protection and optional LED lighting. It uses a replaceable rocker, screw terminals, and a snap-in fixing system, so it suits clean panel layouts where you want a modular switch that can be serviced without replacing the whole device.
For marine use, this switch makes sense in protected interior locations such as cabins, enclosed helm panels, utility spaces, and other dry onboard areas where a flush-mounted control point is needed. The IP40 rating and flush format make it a better match for sheltered installations than for exposed deck or washdown zones.
The Arké 19005 range is offered in grey, white, and metal-look finishes, with antibacterial versions in grey and white. Across the range, the switching format, electrical rating, lightable function, and overall size stay consistent, which helps when matching replacement parts inside an existing Arké installation.
Key features
- 1P 16 AX, 250 V 2-way switch format for lighting and other compatible onboard AC control points

- Halogen-free thermoplastic construction with a matt finish
- Supports up to 200 W for self-ballasted lamps
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations within the same Arké 19005 switch family.
Across these variants, the electrical format stays the same: 1P, 16 AX, 250 V, 2-way switching, lightable operation, replaceable rocker, and IP40 protection. What changes is the visible color and whether the rocker uses antibacterial material.
- VM19005.AB.B, White, Antibacterial Yes. This version keeps a clean white finish and adds antibacterial material for interior touchpoints that are handled often.
- VM19005, Gray, Antibacterial No. This is the standard grey version for matching existing grey Arké layouts in cabins, service spaces, or enclosed control panels.
- VM19005.M, Metal, Antibacterial No. This option gives the switch a metallic look for installations where the surrounding trim or panel hardware has a more technical finish.
- VM19005.B, White, Antibacterial No. This is the standard white version for bright interior panels and straightforward replacements in white Arké systems.
- VM19005.AB, Gray, Antibacterial Yes. This version combines the grey finish with antibacterial material for shared interior switch points.
Compatibility and fit
This is a 1-module Arké device with a body size of 22.3 x 49 x 36.8 mm and a built-in depth of 25 mm. Those dimensions are useful when you are replacing a single failed module in an existing panel or working within a tight back-box depth behind a cabin liner or console panel.
The switch body is flush-mounted, uses screw terminals, and fastens by snap engagement. It does not include a mounting plate, so it is important to check the rest of the Arké mounting arrangement in the vessel before ordering a replacement or building out a new multi-module panel.
Installation and onboard use
The 250 V rating makes this switch a fit for compatible onboard AC circuits rather than general low-voltage switching by default. On a boat, the key checks are circuit voltage, current, lamp load, available module space, and whether the location is protected enough for an IP40 device.
This range is a good match for boat owners, refitters, and electricians who want a modular interior switch with an optional locator light and a replaceable rocker. It fits best in dry accommodation spaces, enclosed helm areas, and interior service compartments where appearance and modular consistency matter as much as straightforward maintenance.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
