Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VUS014R is an electronic chart set covering the U.S. Gulf Coast from Morgan City, Louisiana to Brownsville, Texas, including Atchafalaya Bay, Port Arthur, Galveston Bay, Matagorda Bay, and Padre Island.
It adds planning and situational-awareness layers that help when you are threading channels, working along the ICW, or running unfamiliar approaches. In supported areas, you get up to 1-foot contours, depth range shading, shallow water shading, high-resolution relief shading, and 3D views.
This is cartography only. Your chartplotter does the displaying and routing, so compatibility with your Garmin unit matters as much as the coverage area.
Key features
- Coverage region: Atchafalaya Bay to Brownsville, including Port Arthur, Galveston Bay, Matagorda Bay, and Padre Island.
- Auto Guidance uses your desired depth and overhead clearance to calculate a suggested route and path.
- Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges plus Shallow Water Shading at a user-defined depth.
- Up to 1-foot contours in select areas for tighter bottom detail around structure, flats, and channels.
- High-resolution relief shading in select areas to make bottom shape easier to read at a glance.
- MarinerEye and FishEye 3D perspectives for an intuitive view above and below the waterline.
- Satellite imagery overlays and aerial photography available for many ports, harbors, and marinas.
- Two delivery formats: preprogrammed microSD/SD card or a download you load using Garmin Express.
Variants
This chart is offered in two delivery formats.
Both versions cover the same VUS014R region; what changes is whether you receive a preprogrammed card or load the charts from a download.
- 010-C0715-00: Format microSD/SD. Insert the card into a compatible chartplotter and select the chart layer in the chart menu.
- 010-D0474-00: Format Download. Download through Garmin Express and load the chart data onto a compatible microSD/SD card.
Compatibility and fit
BlueChart g3 Vision HD charts are made for compatible Garmin chartplotters that support BlueChart g3 Vision cartography. Confirm your unit supports this chart format and that you have an available microSD/SD card slot (or the correct adapter for your plotter) for the format you plan to use.
On open boats and exposed helms, keep the card slot area dry and clean. Salt spray and grit around the card door can cause read issues over time.
Installation and setup
For the card format, power the plotter off, insert the microSD/SD card, then restart and choose the chart from the chart settings. For the download format, use Garmin Express to place the charts on a microSD/SD card, then insert that card into the chartplotter.
Auto Guidance routing depends on the safety settings you enter, including depth and overhead clearance. Set these conservatively, and treat the suggested path as a planning aid alongside your normal navigation practices.
Who it suits
This coverage is a strong match for boats running the Louisiana and Texas Gulf coast, including anglers working bays and nearshore structure and cruisers hopping between ports along coastal and ICW routes.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
