Overview
The Vimar Arké 19208 is a flush-mount 2P+E protective-contact socket outlet in the German standard, rated 16 A at 250 V~ (50 to 60 Hz) with an IP20 protection level.
It is built in a 2-module format and snaps into a compatible Arké support before the faceplate is fitted, which keeps the installation tidy in cabins, saloons, galleys, and nav stations on boats wired for 230 V AC shore power.
The socket includes enhanced contact protection and uses a thermoplastic, halogen-free body that suits interior panels where vibration and daily plug-in use are normal.
Key features
- 2P+E protective-contact (SCHUKO) outlet for German-standard plugs, rated 16 A and 250 V~
- IP20 rating for dry interior spaces on board
- 2-module Arké device with snap-in fastening for compatible supports and cover plates
- Enhanced contact protection built into the socket face
- Thermoplastic, halogen-free construction with a matte surface finish
- Terminal style depends on version: screw terminals or push-in clamp (screwless) connections
- Cover option adds a hinged lid over the outlet face when not in use
- Finish options include grey (RAL 7015), white (RAL 9016), aluminium finish (RAL 9007), plus antibacterial material options
Variants
This outlet is offered in multiple configurations that vary by color, whether a hinged cover is included, and the terminal style used for wiring (screw terminals or screwless push-in clamp).
Antibacterial versions use an antibacterial material while keeping the same overall outlet format for Arké 2-module installations.
Compatibility and fit
The insert is sized for the Arké 2-module system and mounts by snap engagement into the matching support. The device face is about 44.8 mm wide by 49.0 mm high, with a typical installed depth around 38.9 mm, and some covered screwless versions extend deeper.
Installation and wiring
This is an AC outlet intended for 250 V~ circuits up to 16 A. Match the version you select to your wiring preference, then terminate conductors fully and torque or seat them correctly for a connection that stays stable under vibration.
On a boat, install it on a protected branch circuit with appropriate upstream protection for shore power systems, and keep all work aligned with the standards used on your vessel.
Use on board
IP20 is suited to interior locations where the outlet is not exposed to spray or washdowns. A hinged cover helps keep the face cleaner when the socket is not in use, but it should still be treated as an interior outlet rather than a weatherproof fitting.
This outlet is a good match for EU-spec boats, charter fleets, and refits where German-standard plugs are already in use and a clean 2-module finish is wanted at the berth, in the cabin, or at a nav station.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
