Overview
The Garmin 010-12504-01 is a bail-mount bracket for mounting a compatible fixed-mount VHF radio on a flat surface instead of flush-mounting it in a panel. It is used to secure the radio at the helm, on a bulkhead, or under a dash where you want the front controls and mic connection easy to reach.
This is a mounting accessory only and it does not change any wiring or electrical integration. Mounting knobs are sold separately, so plan on reusing existing knobs or adding the correct knob set if yours are missing.
Key features
- Compatible with Garmin VHF 110 and VHF 115 fixed-mount marine radios
- Bail-style bracket for surface mounting on a console top, vertical face, or under-helm location
- Allows the radio to be angled for viewing and button access after installation
- Keeps the radio supported against vibration when running in chop
- Mounting knobs are sold separately
Compatibility and fit
Confirm the exact radio model before ordering. This bracket fits the VHF 110 and VHF 115 chassis, and other Garmin VHF families use different bail mounts and hardware.
For a clean install, leave room on the sides for the mounting knobs and enough clearance behind the radio for the power, antenna, and accessory cabling so connectors are not forced into a tight bend.
Installation and setup
Position the bracket where the radio can be operated one-handed and the microphone cord can hang without snagging the wheel or throttle. Mark the mounting holes, drill for your fasteners, and use a backing plate or large washers when mounting into thin fiberglass, aluminum, or plastic panels.
Any time you drill into a cored or exposed deck surface, seal the fastener holes to keep moisture out. After installation, set the viewing angle and tighten the knobs so the radio stays put while still allowing adjustment when you need it.
Use cases on board
This mount is a good match for open center consoles, small pilothouses, and refits where there is not enough panel depth for a flush-mount cutout. It also works well when the radio needs to sit below the dash or overhead to free up prime real estate for displays and switches.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt spray off the bracket during routine washdowns and check the fasteners and knobs periodically, especially after long runs in rough water. If the radio starts to creep from vibration, re-tighten the knobs and confirm the mounting surface is still solid.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
