Overview
The Garmin Navionics Central America & Caribbean chart is a regional electronic chart package for compatible Garmin chartplotters, offered as Garmin Navionics+ (NSSA010R) or Garmin Navionics Vision+ (NVSA010R) in either microSD/SD card format or as a download. Each version includes a one-year subscription for daily chart updates through the ActiveCaptain app, plus built-in tools like Auto Guidance+ route suggestions, up to 10 depth range shading options, and detail down to 1 ft contours where available.
Coverage includes Mexico’s west coast from Tijuana to Panama, the full Panama Canal, and the east coast from Panama to Brownsville, Texas. Caribbean coverage includes the Far Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Cuba, Jamaica, the Caymans, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the Lesser Antilles down to Grenada.
Key features
- Central America & Caribbean region coverage, including the full Panama Canal and broad Caribbean island coverage.
- One-year subscription included for daily updates via the ActiveCaptain app; any chart layers and features downloaded during the subscription remain available on the card after the year ends, but additional downloads require renewal.
- Auto Guidance+ for suggested dock-to-dock routing (planning tool only and not a substitute for safe navigation).
- Depth tools that are easy to use underway, including up to 10 color-shaded target depth ranges and shallow water shading at a user-set depth.
- Up to 1 ft contours where available to help read bottom structure in harbors, channels, canals, and nearshore areas.
- ActiveCaptain Community points of interest for marinas, anchorages, local hazards, and services.
- Navionics Vision+ adds premium layers such as high-resolution relief shading, aerial photography, side scan images, and 3D views; satellite imagery and sonar imagery are available to download where supported.
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations for the same Central America & Caribbean coverage area.
What changes between options is the chart version (Garmin Navionics+ versus Garmin Navionics Vision+) and the delivery format (microSD/SD card versus download). Each configuration includes a one-year subscription for daily updates.
- 010-C1451-00: Garmin Navionics Vision+ on microSD/SD. This is the physical card format for chartplotters that load mapping from a card slot.
- 010-D2179-00: Garmin Navionics Vision+ as a download. This is delivered digitally for compatible chartplotters, without a physical card to ship.
- 010-C1451-20: Garmin Navionics+ on microSD/SD. This is the physical card format when you want the core chart set and update subscription on a removable card.
- 010-D2179-20: Garmin Navionics+ as a download. This is delivered digitally for compatible chartplotters, without a physical card to ship.
Compatibility and fit
These charts are intended for compatible Garmin chartplotters and are not compatible with Humminbird, Lowrance, Raymarine, or Simrad units. Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ require your compatible chartplotter to be updated to the January 2022 software release or newer. For card versions, confirm whether your display uses a microSD slot, an SD slot, or accepts both.
Updates and subscription
The included one-year subscription must be activated to access daily updates and any downloadable content tied to your chart version. Updates are commonly handled through the ActiveCaptain app, and chartplotter software updates can be managed through ActiveCaptain or Garmin Express.
Use on board
This coverage is a practical match for coastal cruisers running Mexico to Panama, crews transiting the Panama Canal, and boats island-hopping across the Caribbean chain. Anglers and divers also benefit from depth shading and tight contour detail when working edges, reefs, and nearshore structure.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
