Overview

The Simrad 000-13285-001 is a 4.1 inch networked instrument display that connects to an NMEA 2000 backbone to show live data pages at the helm. The screen is a 320 x 240 color TFT-LCD, and you can set up pages for wind, speed, depth, engine data, and other network values depending on what sensors and systems are on board.

When a compatible autopilot computer is on the network, it can show an autopilot page with mode information plus heading and rudder indicators, and it can be set to switch to the autopilot page when the pilot is engaged. If your boat has AIS on the network, the AIS page can display targets from a compatible AIS receiver or an NMEA 2000 VHF with AIS, and it can initiate DSC calls to AIS targets when the radio supports DSC over NMEA 2000.

For helm fit, the unit footprint is 118 x 115 mm with about 36.5 mm of depth behind the panel and a front profile around 8 mm. It draws 1.35 W with the backlight off and up to 2.16 W at maximum backlight (at 13.5 V), with a 4 LEN network load. The enclosure is rated IPx7 and operates from -25 to +65 C for wet cockpits and exposed consoles.

Installation and setup

This is a panel-mount instrument, and the supplied template and screw jig make it easier to lay out the cutout and mounting points cleanly. Leave room behind the dash for the body depth and for the Micro-C cable bend, especially on tight center consoles and enclosed helm pods.

On the electrical side, it ties into the NMEA 2000 backbone using a Micro-C drop to a T-connector. Confirm your backbone is properly powered and terminated, and keep the network tidy so voltage drop and drop lengths stay within normal NMEA 2000 practice.

NMEA 2000 data and system integration

The display pulls values from sensors and other equipment on the NMEA 2000 network and can calculate values like trip distance and time, average speed, set, and drift. AIS features depend on having an AIS source on the network, and MOB and AIS-SART functions require a Simrad multifunction display on the same network.

If you are building a glass helm layout, this display works well as a dedicated instrument for sailing data, engine pages, or autopilot status so your main chartplotter stays focused on navigation.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt spray off the front and keys with fresh water and wipe the screen with a soft cloth. Periodically check the Micro-C connections for corrosion or looseness, and use the suncover when the boat is left in strong sun to reduce UV exposure and heat soak at the helm.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
