Overview
The Perko 0200MB0 is a base-mount white masthead navigation light for sailboats and powerboats under 20 meters in length. It shows a white masthead sector with a 225 degree visibility arc and a 3 nautical mile visible range, giving buyers the core fit details needed before replacing or adding a forward navigation light.
This light mounts on a horizontal surface and uses a round canister-style body with side screens. It is supplied with a 12V bulb, with 24V and 32V bulb options available for vessels that need those electrical configurations. The overall height is 4 7/8 inches, the lens height is 2 3/4 inches, and the base outside diameter is 3 5/16 inches.
Key features
- White masthead light with a 225 degree arc for the forward navigation sector.
- 3 nautical mile visible range for compliant use on sail or power driven vessels under 20 meters.
- Base-mount format for horizontal mounting locations on the mast, cabin top, or other suitable raised positions.
- Supplied with a 12V bulb, with 24V and 32V bulb options available for matching other vessel electrical systems.
- Round canister-style housing with side screens for a traditional navigation light profile.
- Uses #10 mounting screws, which helps installers plan the mounting hardware and surface preparation.
Variants
This Perko masthead light is offered in two finish configurations. Both variants cover the same base-mount white masthead light application, with the finish changing to suit the vessel hardware, trim, and visible mounting location.
The shared product format is the 0200MB0 base-mount masthead light. Confirm the vessel voltage and bulb requirement during installation, especially when replacing an older fixture or matching an existing navigation light circuit.
- 0200MB0DP1: Black finish. The black version suits installations where the light housing needs to blend with dark mast hardware, black rails, or darker deck fittings.
- 0200MB0W01: White finish. The white version suits installations where the fixture will sit against a white mast, cabin top, hardtop, or other light-colored mounting surface.
Installation and fit
The base-mount layout is meant for a flat, horizontal mounting surface with enough clearance for the 3 5/16 inch projection. Before drilling, check that the selected location gives the light an unobstructed forward sector and does not place rigging, antennas, canvas, or deck hardware in the light path.
For replacement work, compare the footprint, screw pattern, voltage, bulb type, and lens height with the existing light. Any navigation light should be wired on a properly protected circuit, with marine-grade connections kept dry, supported, and protected from vibration.
Use cases on board
This light is a practical match for owners restoring or maintaining navigation lighting on boats under 20 meters where a white masthead sector light is required. It is especially relevant for cruisers, fishing boats, and sailboats that need a raised forward light with a traditional bulb-based setup rather than an LED conversion.
