Overview

The Jabsco 29279-0000 is a through-deck kit for compatible Jabsco manual bilge pumps. It lets the pump body sit below deck or behind a bulkhead while the handle passes through the mounting surface, which is useful when you want manual pumping access from the cockpit or deck instead of reaching down into a locker or bilge space.

Fit is the main point to check before buying. This kit is listed for the Jabsco Amazon Universal and Amazon Warrior manual pump layouts, with a deck or bulkhead thickness range of 3/16" to 7/8". The through-deck cutout is 3-3/8", and the mounting surface footprint is about 4.8" x 5.1".

This is an accessory kit, not a pump. The assembly uses plastic and rubber parts, mounts with four 1/4" bolts, and weighs about 0.16 kg, so it is straightforward to handle during a retrofit or when replacing a worn through-deck fitting.

Key features
  • Separate through-deck kit for compatible Jabsco manual bilge pump installations
  • Allows the pump to be mounted below deck or behind a bulkhead while keeping handle access at the deck surface
  • Fits mounting surfaces from 3/16" to 7/8" thick
  • Requires a 3-3/8" through-deck cutout
  • Mounting footprint is about 4.8" x 5.1" with four 1/4" bolt holes
  • Plate can be positioned in four orientations relative to the pump
  • Plastic and rubber construction with mounting hardware sold separately
Compatibility and fit

The separate 29279-0000 kit is used with Jabsco Amazon Universal and Amazon Warrior manual pump setups. Amazon ThruDeck pump versions are sold with a through-deck kit already included, so this part is mainly relevant when a compatible pump is being converted or when the original through-deck hardware needs replacement.

For Warrior installations, an under-deck bracket is required. On boats where locker space is tight or the pump needs to stay protected below deck, this kit helps keep the installation cleaner while still giving the crew a direct manual pumping point from the deck or cockpit.

Installation and setup

Plan the opening and bolt pattern before drilling. The cover plate stands about 9/16" high, and the kit fastens with four 1/4" bolts. Fastener choice should match the deck or bulkhead material and the conditions around the mounting point, especially where washdowns, salt, and vibration are part of normal use.

The four-position plate layout gives some flexibility when aligning the handle with the pump body and working around hose runs, liners, or access panels. That can make a difference on refit jobs where the pump location is fixed and only the through-deck hardware is being changed.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
