Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD is an electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters covering VEU463S, Bristol Channel and England SW. It includes coverage from Aberporth, Wales south to the Isles of Scilly and east to include Portland, South England, including the full Bristol Channel.
It combines Garmin and Navionics cartography content with planning tools that help you make quicker sense of depth and hazards on a busy coast. You get 1 ft contours, depth range shading, and shallow water shading based on a depth you set, plus Auto Guidance route suggestions that use your chosen depth and overhead clearance.
Vision HD layers add more context when you are entering unfamiliar harbors or working close to the shoreline, including satellite imagery overlays, aerial photography, and 3D perspectives such as MarinerEye and FishEye views.
Key features
- VEU463S coverage for Bristol Channel and England SW, from Aberporth down to the Isles of Scilly and east to include Portland
- Integrated Garmin and Navionics cartography content for navigation and trip planning
- Auto Guidance route suggestions using your set depth and overhead clearance
- Shallow water shading highlights water below a user-defined depth
- Depth range shading with up to 10 depth ranges for targeting the band you care about
- 1 ft contours for a tighter read on bottom shape, depth transitions, and structure
- Satellite imagery overlays and aerial photography for added visual reference around coastlines, ports, and marinas
- MarinerEye and FishEye 3D views for above-water and below-water visualization
Variants
This chart is offered in two formats for the same VEU463S coverage area.
The difference is how you receive and load the cartography: a pre-programmed microSD/SD card that runs directly from the plotter, or a downloadable version that you install to a microSD/SD card with Garmin Express.
- 010-C0807-00: Format microSD/SD. A pre-programmed chart card that you insert into the chartplotter and select from the chart menu.
- 010-D0405-00: Format Download. Installed to a microSD/SD card through Garmin Express before you move the card to the chartplotter.
Installation and setup
For the microSD/SD card version, insert the card in the chartplotter chart slot, then select the chart from the chart menu. Leave the card installed while you are using the chart data.
For the download version, install it to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express on a computer, then insert that card into the chartplotter. Plan on dedicating one memory card to this chart, since only one chart can be installed per card.
Compatibility and system integration
This cartography is intended for compatible Garmin chartplotters that support BlueChart g3 Vision mapping and read charts from a microSD/SD card. If your helm uses more than one Garmin display on a Garmin marine network, mapping from a single card can be shared across the network to other compatible chartplotters.
Use cases on board
This coverage is a solid fit for coastal cruising, fishing runs, and regular hops between ports along the Bristol Channel and the southwest coast of England. The 1 ft contours and depth range shading are especially helpful when you are tracking a target depth band near structure, while aerial photos and 3D views can add confidence when lining up marina entrances and tight approaches.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
