Overview
The TACO Marine F38-9960 is a rub rail mounted LED navigation light set for SuproFlex rub rail installations. It places the port and starboard sidelights into the rub rail instead of taking up space on the deck, which keeps the bow area cleaner and helps reduce exposed hardware on small powerboats and sailboats.
This set is built for TACO SuproFlex V11-9960, V11-9990, and V11-9950 OEM-only profiles. It includes one 3-watt red port light and one 2-watt green starboard light, runs on 12-14VDC, and gives a 112.5-degree unobstructed view with reduced glare. The light output compares to a 10-watt incandescent navigation light while drawing less power from the boat’s DC system.
The housing carries an IP68 water-resistance rating and uses an anodized aluminum heat sink to manage heat from the LEDs. It meets ABYC and USCG requirements for sail and powerboat navigation light designation and is intended for boats up to 30 feet.
Key features
- Rub rail mounted LED navigation light set for compatible TACO SuproFlex profiles.
- Sold as a matched red and green pair, with one 3-watt port light and one 2-watt starboard light.
- 12-14VDC operation suits common low-voltage marine electrical systems.
- 112.5-degree unobstructed sidelight view with reduced glare for proper port and starboard visibility.
- Meets ABYC and USCG requirements for sail and powerboat navigation light designation.
- IP68 water-resistance rating helps protect the lights in wet bow and rub rail locations.
- Anodized aluminum heat sink helps move heat away from the LED assembly.
- Fits V11-9960, V11-9990, and V11-9950 OEM-only SuproFlex profiles.
- Uses #8 stainless steel fasteners, which are not included.
Installation and fit
This light set is made for boats already using the supported SuproFlex rub rail profiles, so fit should be confirmed against the installed rub rail before purchase. It is not a universal deck-mount navigation light and should not be selected for rigid rub rails, metal rub rails, or unrelated profiles unless the installation has been verified.
Mounting the lights in the rub rail can be useful on boats where bow deck space is limited or where owners want to avoid adding raised fixtures near cleats, anchor gear, or mooring lines. #8 stainless steel fasteners are required for installation and are not supplied with the set.
Electrical and compliance
The lights connect to a 12-14VDC supply, making them a practical fit for standard 12V boat electrical systems. As with any navigation light installation, wiring should be protected from chafe, sealed against water intrusion, and routed so service access remains possible after the rub rail section is assembled.
The 112.5-degree port and starboard light coverage is intended for sidelight use on boats up to 30 feet. Correct placement, orientation, and unobstructed visibility are still important, especially on bows with rails, pulpit hardware, anchors, trolling motors, or other gear that could block the light arc.
What’s included
- One red port LED navigation light, 3 watts.
- One green starboard LED navigation light, 2 watts.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
