Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 1229 is a 230V AC 8 position 360 circuit breaker panel for boats that distribute onboard AC power through separate circuits. It has eight labeled breaker positions, a maximum panel amperage of 100A, and a 7.75 x 4.88 x 3.00 in size that works well where panel space is limited.
Backlit label windows and ON LEDs at each circuit position make it easier to confirm circuit status in low light without guessing which branch is live. The 360 format also works well in panel layouts that may be updated later, which is useful on refits and on boats where the AC system is still being organized.
Key features
- Built for 230V AC distribution with 8 circuit breaker positions
- Maximum panel amperage of 100A
- Backlit label positions that stay readable at night or in enclosed electrical spaces
- ON indicator LEDs at every circuit position for a quick live-circuit check
- 7.75 x 4.88 x 3.00 in panel size for tighter helm, cabin, or electrical locker installations
- Supplied with eight A-Series flat rocker single-pole 8A circuit breakers and a square-format AC label kit
Compatibility and fit
This panel is for a boat's 230V AC distribution side. It should be matched to a 230V AC layout and to branch circuits that suit the included single-pole breaker format.
The 100A figure refers to the panel's maximum amperage capacity. Breaker selection, wire sizing, and load planning still need to match the actual equipment on board and the way the vessel is wired.
Installation and setup
The 3.00 in depth helps when you are checking behind-panel clearance for wiring and service access. This style of AC panel is usually best placed inside the cabin or electrical space where the face stays easy to read and the rear connections remain reachable for inspection and maintenance.
The included label kit helps organize circuits from the start, which makes troubleshooting and future service work more straightforward. For boats being updated from an older panel, that can make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
