Overview
The Simrad 000-16220-001 is a mounting bracket for the Simrad NSX 3015UW 15-inch ultrawide multifunction display. It is the bracket-mount option for helms where you do not want a flush-mount cutout, and it keeps the screen at a usable angle when you are standing, seated, or dealing with glare.
Bracket mounting is common on center consoles, electronics boxes, pilothouses, and nav stations where you want service access behind the display. Leave room for cable routing and connector clearance, and make sure the display can tilt without hitting the dash, windshield frame, or a grab rail.
Key features
- Model-specific bracket for the Simrad NSX 3015UW ultrawide display
- Gimbal-style mount that supports the display from both sides and lets you set the viewing angle
- Good fit for flat mounting surfaces on the helm, electronics box, or a protected overhead panel
- Helps keep the display position consistent when the boat is vibrating or taking spray
- Packaged weight is about 0.85 lb for planning shipments and spares on board
Installation and setup
Mount the bracket to a rigid surface that will not flex underway. On thin fiberglass or acrylic dash tops, use a backing plate or large washers to spread the load and reduce stress cracking. Before drilling, dry-fit the display and sweep it through its tilt range to confirm clearance for the power cable, network connections, and any right-angle adapters you may use.
In saltwater boats, stainless fasteners are the norm, and a small amount of marine sealant around fastener holes helps keep water out of the core. After the first few runs, recheck fasteners for settling and snug them as needed.
Compatibility and fit
This bracket is for the Simrad NSX 3015UW ultrawide display only. If your unit is a different NSX size or a different Simrad series, the mounting points and bracket geometry may not line up, so match the bracket to the exact model name on the display label before ordering.
Use on board
This setup makes sense for boats where the helm surface is not suited to a large cutout, or where you want the ability to access wiring and connectors without pulling trim. It also suits fishing boats and cruisers that see mixed lighting conditions, where a quick tilt adjustment helps keep the screen readable from different positions.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue off the bracket area during washdowns and keep an eye on fasteners for loosening over time. Avoid harsh solvents on the bracket and surrounding dash materials, and check that the display can still tilt smoothly without binding as the boat sees heat, UV, and vibration.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
