Overview
The Garmin Magnetic Protective Cover GPSMAP 9000 Series is a magnetic front cover that sits over the display of a compatible GPSMAP 9000 chartplotter when the unit is not being used. It helps keep salt spray residue, dust, and sun off the screen between runs.
The cover is sized to the chartplotter's display class, so it lays flat and stays put without straps or snaps. It is commonly used on open helms and center consoles where the screen is exposed at the dock, on a lift, or while trailering.
Key features
- Magnetic attachment for quick on and off with no tools or added hardware
- Available to match GPSMAP 9000 display sizes: 10 inch, 13 inch, 17 inch, 19 inch, 22 inch, 24 inch, and 27 inch
- Covers the screen and front bezel to help reduce scratches from incidental contact and keep fingerprints off the touchscreen
- Useful during storage, dockside cleaning, and transport when you want the display face covered
- Does not change wiring, networking, or power setup on the chartplotter
Variants
This cover is offered in multiple sizes. The difference across the range is the physical size of the cover so it matches the specific GPSMAP 9000 display footprint.
Match the cover to your chartplotter size class: 9x10, 9x13, 9x17, 9x19, 9x22, 9x24, or 9x27. Model examples include GPSMAP 9010 and 9210 (10 inch), GPSMAP 9013 and 9213 plus their xsv versions (13 inch), GPSMAP 9017 and 9217 plus their xsv versions (17 inch), GPSMAP 9019 and 9219 (19 inch), GPSMAP 9022 (22 inch), GPSMAP 9024 and 9224 (24 inch), and GPSMAP 9027 and 9227 (27 inch).
Installation and setup
With the chartplotter installed, place the cover over the front of the display and let the magnets pull it into position. For removal, lift from an edge and peel it away rather than sliding it across the screen.
If your helm sees a lot of spray or sand, wipe the bezel before installing the cover so grit does not get trapped between the cover and the screen.
Compatibility and fit
This is a fixed-mount GPS cover made for GPSMAP 9000 chartplotter displays. It is not a universal cover, so the size needs to match the chartplotter model and display class shown on the unit or in your installed electronics list.
Maintenance and care
Rinse with fresh water and dry it after heavy spray or cleaning. Avoid harsh solvents that can soften plastics, and store the cover flat so it keeps its shape.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
