Overview
The Garmin GMR Fantom is a radar pedestal-only assembly in black that pairs with a compatible GMR Fantom 4-foot or 6-foot open-array antenna. It is typically used when you are replacing a pedestal or putting together an open-array Fantom system where the antenna is purchased separately.
Power comes from the boat electrical system (10 to 32 Vdc), so it fits common 12V and 24V installations. Radar control and setup are handled from a compatible Garmin chartplotter over Garmin BlueNet networking, with support for Garmin Marine Network installations when an adapter cable is used.
This product is the pedestal only. The open-array antenna is not included.
Key features
- Offered in 5X, 12X, and 25X output levels to match the rest of your Fantom open-array setup
- Compatible with GMR Fantom 4-foot and 6-foot open-array antennas (antenna sold separately)
- Runs on 10 to 32 Vdc boat power for 12V and 24V systems
- Networking supports Garmin BlueNet and can be used on Garmin Marine Network with an adapter cable
- In-line fusing is part of the power cable, and the fuse holder must stay in place during installation
- Radar operation and installation settings are managed from the connected Garmin chartplotter, including selecting the installed antenna size
Variants
This pedestal-only assembly is offered in multiple configurations so you can match the output level of the Fantom system you are building or servicing.
The main difference between variants is the output level (5X, 12X, or 25X). Each option is a black pedestal-only assembly intended for use with GMR Fantom 4-foot or 6-foot open-array antennas.
- 010-01364-40: For 5X (50 W). This is the pedestal option that matches the Fantom 5X output level when paired with a compatible 4-foot or 6-foot array.
- 010-01364-50: For 12X (120 W). This configuration corresponds to the Fantom 12X output level and is used with a compatible 4-foot or 6-foot open-array antenna.
- 010-01364-60: For 25X (250 W). This option matches the Fantom 25X output level for installations using a compatible 4-foot or 6-foot open-array antenna.
Installation and setup
Mount the pedestal on a rigid, level surface that can handle vibration and wind loading, such as a hardtop, radar arch, or mast platform. Route cabling so it is protected from chafe and water intrusion, and keep the antenna path clear when operating the radar.
Run the power cable to the battery and keep the in-line fuse holder in place. If you extend the power run, use marine-grade crimp connections with heat-shrink for a water-resistant splice and size the wire to the added length; for example, an extra 3 m (9 ft 10 in) run calls for 12 AWG, and an extra 5 m (16 ft 4 in) run calls for 10 AWG.
Connect the pedestal to an appropriate water ground using 12 AWG copper wire, and seal the ground connection against corrosion. After wiring and networking are complete, confirm the chartplotter software is current and select the installed antenna size during radar setup so the system matches your 4-foot or 6-foot array.
Compatibility and fit
This pedestal is meant for Garmin GMR Fantom open-array installations using a GMR Fantom 4-foot or 6-foot antenna. It integrates through Garmin BlueNet networking and can be used in mixed networks that include Garmin Marine Network equipment, depending on how your boat is wired.
It is a good fit for refits where the existing open-array antenna is being reused and the pedestal needs replacement, and for new installs where the pedestal and antenna are being sourced as separate components for the same Fantom family.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
