Overview

The Simrad SimNet Cable is a black network cable used to link devices and backbone components in a SimNet system. It is offered in multiple lengths, including 0.3 m (1 ft), 2 m (6.6 ft), 5 m (16 ft), and 10 m (33 ft), so you can keep runs tidy instead of coiling up excess cable.

Use it when you are adding a new display, sensor, or network junction, or when you are relocating electronics at the helm and need the right reach through a console, under a deck, or down to a nav station.

Variants

This product is available in several cable lengths.

The only difference between variants is the cable length; all are SimNet cables in black intended for SimNet networking.

• 24005829: 0.3 m (1 ft). A short run that helps when two SimNet connection points are close together inside a helm or instrument pod.
• 24005837: 2 m (6.6 ft). A practical length for moving from a local backbone point to a nearby display, sensor interface, or junction.
• 24005845: 5 m (16 ft). Suits runs that have to reach across a cockpit console, down a companionway, or along a mid-boat cable chase.
• 24005852: 10 m (33 ft). A longer run intended for SimNet backbone use when you need to bridge bigger distances on board.

Compatibility and fit

This is a SimNet cable, so it mates with SimNet networking components. If your boat is wired with a NMEA 2000 backbone that uses Micro-C connectors, a SimNet-to-Micro-C adapter cable is used at the interface point instead of replacing the whole run.

Installation and routing

Plan the path first and choose a length that reaches without tension. Leave a small service loop at each end so connectors are not stressed by vibration, and secure the cable so it cannot chafe on sharp fiberglass edges or moving steering parts.

Keep network cabling separated from high-current wiring where possible, and avoid tight bends right behind connectors when dressing the harness into the helm.

Use on board

This cable is a good match for boats that already run a SimNet network and are adding instruments, autopilot components, or sensors, as well as owners cleaning up an older harness during a refit.

Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
