Overview
The Hella Marine EuroLED 75 is a square LED downlight that recess-mounts through a 50 mm cutout, fastens with screws, and produces 5000K white light at 3W. It is offered in 12V DC (9-16V DC) and 24V DC (18-33V DC) versions, so the lamp voltage needs to match your boat’s DC system.
The lamp is completely sealed to IP6K7 & IP6K9K, which suits wet areas and exterior overhangs where spray and washdowns are common. The face measures 60 mm square, and the body sits about 22 mm behind the mounting surface, which helps when space is tight above headliners or liners.
Dimming works with PWM or voltage-resistive dimmers, and the trim is available in white plastic or chrome-plated plastic to match nearby fittings and panels.
Key features
- 5000K white light with 3W power draw for low-load cabin or cockpit downlighting
- 12V model operates on 9-16V DC and draws under 0.19A at 12V
- 24V model operates on 18-33V DC and draws under 0.09A at 24V
- IP6K7 & IP6K9K sealed construction for wet or dry mounting locations
- Recess mount through a 50 mm cutout with a 60 mm square face and about 22 mm depth behind the panel
- Dimming support via PWM or voltage-resistive dimmers
- Trim options: UV resistant white plastic or chrome-plated plastic
- Low EMC noise to help keep onboard radio communications quieter
Variants
This downlight is offered in a small set of configurations based on finish and system voltage.
Finish varies between white and chrome trim, and voltage varies between 12V and 24V models. The configurations listed here are the 5000K white-light version with a 3W load.
- 015014011: White finish, 12V. Fits 12V house lighting circuits and keeps the trim subtle on light-colored liners and headliners.
- 015014121: Chrome finish, 24V. Pairs with 24V DC systems and gives a brighter hardware look against darker panels or wood trim.
- 015014111: White finish, 24V. Matches 24V house lighting circuits while keeping the trim low-contrast in cabins and enclosed spaces.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting point so there is room for the body behind the panel and enough slack to make a clean wire connection. Cut a 50 mm hole, seat the lamp, and fasten it in place with screws so the trim sits flat against the surface.
This style works well in overhead panels, hardtops, and bulkhead overhangs where you want light without a protruding fixture.
Electrical and dimming
Wire the lamp on a fused DC lighting circuit and observe polarity. The black lead connects to negative and the white lead connects to positive. Reverse polarity will stop the lamp from lighting, but it will not damage the unit.
Use a PWM dimmer or a voltage-resistive dimmer when you want adjustable brightness. For mixed-voltage boats, keep 12V and 24V lighting circuits separate and match each lamp to the correct circuit voltage range.
Use cases on board
The wide, even beam is a good fit for general downlighting in cabins, saloons, passageways, heads, and under hardtops. It also suits exterior sheltered areas where you still want a sealed fixture that can handle spray.
This product makes sense for cruisers, fishing boats, and workboats that want low-draw lighting without adding heat or frequent bulb changes.
Maintenance and care
Wipe the lens and trim with mild soap and fresh water, especially after salt exposure. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can haze plastics, and check wiring connections occasionally if the lamp is mounted in a high-vibration area.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
