Overview
The Hella Marine Surface Mount Strip Lamp with Switch is a dual colour LED strip light for 24V DC boats, built for interior or exterior mounting where you want low power draw and a lamp that can handle spray and washdowns. It is completely sealed to IP67 and draws under 3W (under 0.16A at 24V), so it can stay on for long evenings without becoming a heat source.
The onboard sealed switch lets you toggle between the two light colours at the fixture, which is handy for helm areas, companionways, cockpits, and service spaces where you want quick control without adding a separate switch for each mode. White output is 5000K and warm white is 2700K, with the red and blue options covering night vision and accent lighting depending on the configuration.

Variants
This light is offered in multiple dual colour configurations. Each variant is a 24V DC surface-mount strip lamp with the sealed onboard switch.
The difference between variants is the light colour pairing: you can match a white or warm white main light with either red or blue, depending on how you use the space onboard.
- 958121511: Warm White and Blue. Warm white keeps cabins and joinery looking natural, while blue works well as low-glare accent lighting in cockpits or walkways.
- 958121501: Warm White and Red. Warm white suits general onboard lighting, and red helps preserve dark adaptation when you are moving around at night.
- 958121411: White and Blue. White light at 5000K is useful for task areas like galleys and helm stations, with blue available for softer ambience.
- 958121401: White and Red. White light supports close-up work and cleaning, while red is a practical option for night running and late watch routines.
Installation and wiring
Mount the lamp to a flat surface using the end fastenings, then snap the end caps back on to cover the screws. Plan the cable exit so the 500mm lead reaches your junction point without tension, and secure the cable close to the lamp for strain relief in high-vibration areas.
Connect to a protected 24V lighting circuit with the appropriate fuse for your vessel wiring standard. For exposed mounting locations, seal any screw penetrations and cable pass-throughs to keep moisture out of the substrate behind the lamp.
Use cases on board
This style of strip lamp fits well under shelves, under coamings, inside lockers, along companionway sides, over bait boards, and under cabinetry where a shallow light makes sense. The dual colour setups are especially useful on boats that switch between bright working light and a lower impact night mode depending on the time of day.
It is a solid match for 24V DC vessels such as larger cruising sailboats, powerboats, and commercial craft where consistency across multiple interior and exterior light points matters.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
