Overview

The Garmin 010-02688-00/LVS34 is a 9 inch ECHOMAP UHD2 93sv chartplotter and fishfinder bundle paired with the LiveScope Plus System (GLS 10 sonar module and LVS34 transducer) for real-time views around the boat.

The display runs on 9 to 18 Vdc and carries an IPX7 water rating, which fits typical helm electronics installs that see spray and washdowns. On the 9 inch model you get a 1024 x 600 screen with touch control plus keyed assist, which is handy when hands are wet or the boat is moving.

LiveScope Plus adds Forward, Down, and Perspective views, rated for up to 61 m (200 ft.) of distance and a 135 degree front-to-back field of view. The chartplotter also supports traditional CHIRP, ClearVü, and SideVü sonar when a compatible transducer is added.

Key features
  • 9 inch touchscreen with keyed assist and 1024 x 600 resolution.
  • Input voltage from 9 to 18 Vdc with an included 3 A fast-acting fuse.
  • IPX7 water rating and a polycarbonate housing for typical helm environments.
  • Built-in Garmin Navionics+ U.S. Inland mapping with a 1-year subscription for downloadable daily updates and Auto Guidance+ access through the ActiveCaptain app.
  • Built-in Wi-Fi for ActiveCaptain features plus wireless sharing of sonar, waypoints, and routes with another compatible ECHOMAP UHD2 chartplotter.
  • LiveScope Plus LVS34 transducer operates from 530 to 1,100 kHz and is rated for up to 61 m (200 ft.) maximum distance.
  • GLS 10 sonar module connects by Garmin Marine Network and accepts 10 to 32 Vdc power (21 W typical use).
  • 1 microSD card slot with support for up to 1 TB cards (formatted to exFAT).
Installation and setup

Most installs place the 93sv at the helm or console where the screen stays readable standing or seated. Plan for cable routing and leave at least 118 mm (4 5/8 in.) of clearance behind the unit so the connectors and bend radius are not stressed over time.

The GLS 10 module is commonly mounted inside a console or under a seat where it stays dry and ventilated. It links to the chartplotter over Garmin Marine Network, so it is worth planning the module location around your network run and service access.

Transducer mounting and live sonar views

The LVS34 transducer supports mounting on a trolling motor shaft or barrel and also supports Perspective Mode using the included perspective mount. Stable alignment matters more than anything here, so keep the transducer level, lock the mount so it cannot twist under vibration, and route the cable so it cannot be pinched when stowing the trolling motor.

Forward mode helps you read what is in front of the boat as you cast, Down mode shows what is directly beneath you, and Perspective mode gives a shallow-water view that reads more like a map. The system is rated for up to 61 m (200 ft.) of distance, with real-world range depending on water conditions.

Electrical and system integration

The chartplotter is built for 12 V systems (9 to 18 Vdc input). The 9 inch model draws about 1.72 A at 12 Vdc during typical use, and the included 3 A fast-acting fuse provides primary protection. If your helm distribution is 24 V, plan on a proper step-down converter for the display.

The GLS 10 sonar module accepts 10 to 32 Vdc, which works with 12 V or 24 V supplies, but it should still be fused appropriately and wired with tinned marine cable. Keep power and network runs away from high-current trolling motor wiring to reduce electrical noise.

Compatibility and fit

This bundle is set up for Garmin live scanning sonar out of the box with the included GLS 10 and LVS34. The chartplotter also supports traditional CHIRP, ClearVü, and SideVü sonar, but this 93sv package does not include a GT-style scanning transducer, so those sonar views require a separate compatible transducer.

For mapping, the included Garmin Navionics+ U.S. Inland coverage is a strong match for lakes and rivers. Boats that split time between inland and coastal water often add the appropriate chart coverage on microSD.

Use on board

This setup makes sense for anglers who spend time on the trolling motor and want to watch fish and structure in real time while they work a point, dock line, or brush pile. It also fits multi-display boats where a second ECHOMAP UHD2 shares waypoints and routes over Wi-Fi, while LiveScope stays connected to the unit that is networked to the GLS 10 module.

Maintenance and care

The display is rated IPX7 for incidental water exposure, but it still pays to keep connectors clean, fully seated, and strain-relieved. Wipe the touchscreen with a soft cloth and avoid harsh solvents that can haze coatings.

After fishing, rinse the LVS34 face with fresh water and check the cable jacket for nicks, especially near the mount and where it passes through the trolling motor bracket.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team.
