Overview

The Lopolight 300-138 is a double masthead navigation light that shows a 225 degree white sector with a 6 nautical mile rating for vessels over 50 m (164 ft). It uses two separate light modules (primary and secondary) so either circuit can be run independently for redundancy.

It runs on 22 to 32 V DC (24 V systems) and draws 13 W, with an IP68 sealing level for exposed mast or superstructure mounting. The housing is aluminum with a silver anodized finish and a PMMA lens, and the electronics are potted to handle vibration and washdowns.

Overall size is about 92.5 mm (3.64 in) diameter and 128 mm (5.03 in) height, with a listed weight of 1 kg. It mounts horizontally on the included base, with cable entry available from the side or bottom via M20x1.5 gland ports.

Compatibility and fit

This light is intended for installations where a 6 nautical mile masthead light is required on vessels over 50 m (164 ft). It is suited to 24 V DC electrical systems and will not be a match for 12 V-only boats.

Plan the mounting location so the 225 degree sector has a clear view forward and to the sides, without being blocked by antennas, domes, or crane structures. Confirm you have room for the 92.5 mm diameter body and the included base footprint, and that your cable routing can reach the gland position you want to use.

Installation and wiring

The unit mounts horizontally on the supplied base and accepts cable entry from either the side or bottom using the included M20x1.5 glands and caps. After positioning, keep the lens and sealing surfaces clean before final tightening so the IP68 sealing is not compromised.

Primary and secondary circuits are separated at the 5-pin connector. Pin 1 is primary positive and pin 2 is primary negative, pin 4 is secondary positive and pin 5 is secondary negative, and pin 3 is not used. This makes it straightforward to run independent feeds from a nav-light panel or a monitoring system while keeping the two light modules electrically separate.

Use on board

This is a practical choice for commercial vessels, large motor yachts, and workboats that need a 6 nautical mile masthead light and want the added security of a second, independent light module in the same housing. It also fits well on boats doing long night transits where redundancy matters and access to the masthead is not convenient underway.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt off the housing and lens during routine washdowns and check that the cable glands remain snug. If the lens becomes hazy or scratched, clean with a plastic-safe cleaner to avoid damaging the PMMA surface.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
