Overview
The Hella Marine 3562 Series starboard navigation lamp is an incandescent sidelight for 12V systems with a 1 nautical mile visibility rating and an IP54 housing.
It uses a 12V/10W SV8.5 bulb and the snap lock housing lets you change the bulb without tools, which helps when you need a quick service job onboard. The housing and lens are UV and impact resistant plastic, built for saltwater use and non-magnetic installations, with cable entry through the base plate via a rubber grommet. Approvals include IMO Col Reg 72, RINA, USCG, ABYC A-16, and Maritime NZ.

Variants
This navigation lamp is offered in multiple configurations so you can match the housing to your boat’s finish.
The variants below differ by product color.
- 003562025: Product color Black. A darker housing can blend in on boats with dark trim, tinted windows, or black deck hardware.
- 003562125: Product color White. A lighter housing tends to disappear visually against white gelcoat and light-colored cabin sides.
Installation and setup
This lamp is made for vertical surface mounting on the starboard side, placed where it has a clear, unobstructed view to the required arc. Route the cable through the base plate and seat the rubber grommet cleanly so the pass-through stays tight and protected from chafe.
On a 12V DC system, use marine-grade tinned wire and keep connections dry and supported so vibration does not work them loose over time. After mounting, confirm the light sits level and is not blocked by rails, rub rails, or deck gear.
Compatibility and fit
As a starboard sidelight, this fixture is used on the vessel’s right-hand side and should be paired with the correct port and stern lights for a complete navigation-light set. The 1 nautical mile rating is typically used on smaller vessels where that range meets the rules for the boat and operating area.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue off the lens and housing during routine washdowns and check the rubber grommet for cracks or hardening. If the light output looks dim or intermittent, replace the 12V/10W SV8.5 bulb and inspect the contacts for corrosion before closing the snap lock housing again.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
