Overview
The Garmin 010-10083-00 is a 7-pin power/data cable with bare-wire leads for hard-wiring compatible Garmin Fishfinder, GPS, and GPSMAP units into your boat’s DC system and passing navigation data to other electronics.
At the display end, the molded 7-pin plug mates with Garmin units that use the older 7-pin power/data port. At the other end, individual bare wires let you terminate to a breaker panel, terminal strip, or splices for a permanent install that is easier to service than a loose adapter.
Key features
- 7-pin connector fits Garmin units that use the 7-pin power/data socket (examples include Fishfinder 320C, GPS 120/126/128/152/152H, and GPSMAP 130/162/175/182/182C/192C/205/210/215/220/225/230/232/235 Sounder).
- Bare-wire leads support clean, permanent hard-wiring to a boat’s DC distribution instead of using temporary plug-in power.
- Includes data conductors so the connected GPS can share position and speed output with compatible equipment such as an autopilot, computer, or radar interface.
- Useful as a replacement harness when the original cable is damaged, shortened, or has corroded terminations, without changing the unit-side connector.
- Bare-wire termination works well with crimp connectors, solder-and-seal splices, or a screw-terminal block, depending on how your helm wiring is laid out.
Compatibility and fit
Match the connector style first: this cable is for Garmin equipment that takes a 7-pin power/data plug. If your unit uses a different connector family, the plug will not seat correctly even if the product name sounds close.
On the boat side, plan where the bare-wire end will land. Many installs run the harness to a protected point behind the console, then transition to the vessel wiring on a terminal strip so the display can be removed later without cutting wires.
Installation and wiring
Route the cable like any other helm harness: keep it supported, avoid tight bends, and protect it anywhere it could chafe on fiberglass edges or metal brackets. Leave a service loop behind the unit so you can pull the display forward for access.
Terminate power through the correct fuse or breaker for your specific Garmin unit, and make data connections only after confirming the receiving device expects the same type of GPS data output. When tying into other electronics, label the conductors and keep splices sealed and out of bilge splash zones.
Use cases on board
This cable is a good fit for skippers keeping an older 7-pin Garmin display in service and wanting a tidy hard-wire install at the helm. It also makes sense when you need to share GPS position from the plotter to other equipment and prefer a direct wired connection over add-on adapters.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
