Overview

The Raymarine A80321 is a B175H-W 20° tilted-element thru-hull transducer for Raymarine 1 kW CHIRP sonar systems, built for boats with fiberglass or wood hulls and a 16° to 24° deadrise at the mounting point. It is a high-wide CHIRP transducer operating from 150 to 250 kHz, with depth and water-temperature sensing in one low-profile thru-hull installation.

The 20° tilted element helps keep the sonar beam aimed correctly on deeper-V hulls without using an external fairing block. The wide 25° beam gives more coverage under the boat than a narrow high-frequency transducer, which is useful when tracking fish, bait, and structure while coastal cruising, offshore fishing, or running at speed in planing hull applications.

Key features
  • 1 kW CHIRP transducer for Raymarine fishfinder and sonar systems that support high-power CHIRP operation.
  • High-wide frequency range of 150 to 250 kHz for strong target detail and broad coverage under the hull.
  • Fixed 25° beam width across the high-wide band, helping show fish arches and activity in the upper water column.
  • 20° tilted element suited to hull deadrise angles from 16° to 24° at the mounting location.
  • Thru-hull installation with a low-profile bronze housing for fiberglass and wood hulls.
  • Records depth and water temperature, giving the helm and fishfinder the core sonar data most anglers need.
  • Supplied with a 2 m pigtail from the transducer and requires the correct Raymarine transducer cable to complete the installation.
  • No speed paddlewheel, keeping the installation focused on CHIRP depth and temperature readings.
Installation and fit

This transducer is meant for a permanent thru-hull installation, so the hull material, deadrise, and cable route should be checked before cutting. The 20° version is for boats where the mounting area measures 16° to 24° of deadrise, which commonly applies to deeper-V fiberglass fishing boats and some wood hull installations.

The low-profile body helps reduce drag compared with a fairing-block style installation, and the tilted element handles the beam correction inside the housing. For best results, mount it where the face stays in clean water flow and away from turbulence caused by strakes, thru-hulls, intakes, or prop wash.

Electrical and system integration

The A80321 is intended for Raymarine systems that can run a 1 kW CHIRP transducer. It does not complete the connection by itself; the 2 m pigtail from the transducer must be paired with the proper Raymarine operation or extension cable for the display or sonar module being used.

This is a good match for owners upgrading a serious fishing boat, adding high-wide CHIRP capability to an offshore setup, or replacing an older thru-hull transducer while keeping the installation clean and low-profile below the hull.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
