Overview
The Lumitec Contour Series Inset Navigation Light is an inset-mount LED navigation light for hardtops, arches, and pilothouse faces where you want a flush install with no exposed fasteners. It runs on 10-30 V DC for 12 V or 24 V systems, with low current draw (18-26 mA at 12 V; 12-15 mA at 24 V).
It carries a USCG 2 nautical mile rating for vessels up to 50 m (165 ft) and conforms to ABYC A16. The inset footprint is compact at 2.67 in wide x 1.00 in high x 1.32 in deep, which helps when space is limited along a hardtop brow or cabin side.
Key features
- Inset-mount profile sits cleanly in a hardtop or pilothouse face with no visible fasteners.
- 10-30 V DC input range supports both 12 V and 24 V electrical systems.
- Very low current draw for always-ready navigation lighting without meaningful battery impact.
- USCG 2 nautical mile rating for vessels up to 50 m (165 ft).
- Conforms to ABYC A16 for navigation lighting installations.
- Compact housing size: 2.67 in W x 1.00 in H x 1.32 in D (inset mount).
- Simple two-wire connection (positive and negative) for standard on/off nav light circuits.
- Snap-in light module interface allows the module to be seated into the housing with an audible click and removed from the back side when service access is available.
Variants
This light is offered in multiple configurations based on light color output.
The light color corresponds to the navigation function (port, starboard, or stern) while keeping the same inset mounting format and 10-30 V DC electrical range.
- 101575: Light color Green. Green output is used for the starboard-side navigation light position on standard marine lighting layouts.
- 101574: Light color Red. Red output is used for the port-side navigation light position on standard marine lighting layouts.
- 101576: Light color White. White output is used for the stern navigation light position on standard marine lighting layouts.
Installation and setup
Inset installations depend on having a matching pocket or recess built into the mounting surface so the housing sits flush. Plan wire routing so the cable can pass through the center slot of the housing and land on a clean 10-30 V DC navigation-light feed with correct polarity.
Once wired, the light module seats into the housing by pressing the front face into place until the snaps engage. Service removal is done from the back side by accessing the snaps, so it helps to leave reasonable access behind the mounting surface for future work.
Compatibility and fit
This light is a straightforward choice for boats with 12 V or 24 V DC systems that use standard switched navigation lighting circuits. It is commonly installed on hardtops, pilothouse faces, and arches where a flush look matters and where the light will not be obscured by railings, canvas, or deck hardware.
Before cutting or committing to a pocket, confirm you have the physical clearance for the 1.32 in depth plus wiring bend radius, and confirm you can orient the light correctly so the required navigation sectors remain unobstructed.
On-board use
This style of inset light is often seen on custom builds and clean refits that prioritize a finished exterior surface. It is a practical match for coastal cruising, night fishing runs, and offshore transits where you want compliant navigation lighting without adding bulky fixtures to the edges of the top.
Navigation lights are typically installed as a system: red to port, green to starboard, and white at the stern depending on the vessel layout and lighting plan.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
