Overview

The Garmin 010-02612-00 is a Garmin BlueNet network switch that adds more connection points so compatible Garmin BlueNet devices can share data on the same onboard network. It accepts 10 to 32 Vdc power (fits 12V and 24V systems) and uses a 2 A fuse.

It is built for Garmin BlueNet devices only. If your boat also has legacy Garmin Marine Network devices, they do not connect directly to this switch; a Garmin BlueNet 30 gateway is used when both network types need to communicate.

The housing measures 293.3 x 72 x 112.6 mm and is rated IPX7 for incidental water exposure. It is meant to be mounted where it will not be submerged, such as inside a console or an electronics locker with normal ventilation.

Key features
  • Expands a Garmin BlueNet network when the available ports on your chartplotter are already in use
  • Works only with Garmin BlueNet devices; legacy Garmin Marine Network devices require a Garmin BlueNet 30 gateway to communicate
  • 10 to 32 Vdc input for 12V/24V power systems, with a 2 A fuse and 3.6 W max power usage
  • Network link indicators support 10/100 Mbps and 1,000 Mbps connections and flash with data activity
  • IPX7 water rating for incidental splashes; intended for mounting where it will not be submerged
  • Polycarbonate plastic and die-cast aluminum construction with a 10 cm compass-safe distance

Installation and setup

Mount the switch with room to route and connect the network cables, and leave space for airflow so heat does not build up. A little separation from other wiring helps reduce interference, and an optional grounding screw is available if you need to bond the unit to the boat’s water ground.

Power is brought in through the included cable. In typical installs, the positive feed is run through the ignition or another manual switch so the network can be shut down when you are off the boat, since the unit can continue to draw power if it is left connected directly to the battery.

Compatibility and network planning

Garmin BlueNet network cables use small connectors that resemble NMEA 2000 connectors, but they are not the same cable type and they are not interchangeable. Connect only Garmin BlueNet network devices to the switch ports.

If your system uses a Garmin BlueNet 30 gateway to bridge to legacy Garmin Marine Network devices, the gateway connects to a single interconnected BlueNet segment (a chartplotter with multiple BlueNet ports or this switch). This helps keep the BlueNet side organized as you add more modules over time.

Use cases on board

This switch is a practical fit when you are adding more BlueNet-capable gear and your existing BlueNet ports are already spoken for, such as on multi-display helms or builds that include radar or other networked electronics. It is also helpful on refits where you want a clean, centralized place to land multiple BlueNet runs inside the console.

Status lights and basic troubleshooting

A status LED shows the unit’s operating state, and the network LEDs indicate link speed and activity. If you are tracking down a dead device on the network, the per-port LEDs make it easier to spot a disconnected cable, a powered-off device, or a link that is not coming up.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
