Overview
The Lumitec Zephyr LED Spreader/Deck Light is an LED deck and spreader light that throws a white beam for working areas on deck and in the cockpit. It mounts on spreaders, spars, radar arches, towers, and flybridges, and it is commonly installed around a 16 ft mounting height to cover the foredeck and cockpit from above.
It runs on 10-30V DC for both 12V and 24V systems and draws about 1.3A at 12V or 0.6A at 24V (16W). Output is rated at over 1,000 lumens with a 5000K color temperature, so the light reads as a clean white that helps with line handling, docking, and after-dark deck work.
The housing is compact at about 4.49 in wide by 2.83 in deep, with a brushed base offered in white or black to suit different hardware and topside finishes.
Key features
- 10-30V DC input for 12V and 24V electrical systems
- Approx. 16W draw (about 1.3A @ 12V, 0.6A @ 24V) for planning circuits and battery use
- Over 1,000 lumen white output at 5000K for deck and cockpit work lighting
- Non-dimming white version; can be used with compatible third-party dimmers when your installation calls for reduced output
- Compact footprint (about 4.49 in wide x 2.83 in deep) for tight spreader, arch, and tower mounting spots
- Positionable head to aim light where you need it, such as the foredeck, cockpit, or a transom work area
- Brushed base offered in white or black to match common topside finishes
- Common mounting locations include spreaders, spars, radar arches, towers, and flybridges (often around a 16 ft height)
Variants
This light is offered in multiple configurations so you can match the base color to the mounting surface and surrounding hardware.
The variants below differ by base color. The light output is white; select the part number that matches the look you want at the mast, arch, or tower.
- 101325: Color White. A white base blends in with white gelcoat and many painted masts, keeping the installation visually quiet in daylight.
- 101326: Color Black. A black base pairs well with dark anodized spars and black hardware, helping the fixture disappear against the rig at night.
Compatibility and fit
Zephyr is a good match when you want a single overhead work light for the foredeck or cockpit from a spreader, arch, or hardtop support. Use the stated overall size (about 4.49 in wide by 2.83 in deep) to confirm clearance at the mounting point and room for cable routing behind the base.
Installation and setup
Plan the mount so the beam lands where crew actually works, then route the cable with strain relief and a drip loop so water cannot run into the entry point. When fastening to aluminum spars or towers, isolate dissimilar metals as needed for your hardware stack and seal any penetrations properly for the surface you are drilling.
Electrical and control
Wire the unit to a DC circuit within the 10-30V range and size protection and conductors for the current draw on your system voltage. If you intend to dim, confirm your dimmer is rated for the load and compatible with this non-dimming white version before committing to a permanent installation.
Maintenance and care
Rinse with fresh water after salt use and wipe the lens and housing with mild soap to keep light output consistent. Periodically check fasteners and cable support points in high-vibration locations such as towers and arches.
