Overview
The B&G 000-13296-001 is a Triton2 autopilot controller keypad that connects on an NMEA 2000 network and gives you dedicated pilot control from a compact, seven-button interface.
It runs on 9 to 16 V via the network connection, uses a single male Micro-C connector for power and data, and carries an IPx7 waterproofing standard for cockpit exposure. Physical size is 60 x 115 x 35 mm, and typical network load is 3 LEN, which helps when you are planning the overall NMEA 2000 power budget.
Key features
- NMEA 2000 connection with one Micro-C port for both power and data
- Seven-button keypad with dedicated AUTO and STBY control for quick engagement and disengagement
- Course or wind-angle adjustments in 1° or 10° steps using separate port and starboard keys
- Wind mode support when the autopilot is configured for sailboat use, plus NAV mode for route and waypoint steering when integrated in a compatible system
- IPx7 waterproofing standard and PC/ABS housing for typical cockpit and helm locations
- Low electrical draw, with power consumption ranging from 0.54 W (backlight off) up to 1.35 W (backlight at maximum)
What’s included
- Triton2 pilot controller keypad
- 0.6 m (2 ft) Micro-C drop cable
- Micro-C T-connector
- Bezel
- Mounting screws

Installation and setup
Mount the keypad at the helm where you can reach it while trimming sails or steering in a seaway. It installs with the supplied bezel and screws, and it connects into the NMEA 2000 backbone using the included Micro-C T-connector and drop cable. The maximum Micro-C drop length is 6 m (20 ft), so place the nearest backbone run accordingly when planning the network layout.
Compatibility and system integration
This keypad is intended for use in an NMEA 2000-based autopilot system. In operation it provides direct pilot control, including heading changes in AUTO, Wind mode behavior on sailboat configurations, and NAV mode activation for steering to navigation targets when the rest of the onboard network supports it. If you want pilot control from more than one location, multiple keypads can be installed on the same network.
Use cases on board
It is a good match for sailors who want a dedicated pilot keypad in the cockpit or at a secondary steering position, where quick AUTO to STBY changes and one-handed course tweaks matter. The tactile layout also suits night watches and rough conditions where you may be operating by feel instead of looking down at a multifunction display.
Maintenance and care
Use the sun cover when the boat is not in use to reduce UV exposure at the helm. For routine cleaning, rinse salt spray off with fresh water and wipe with a soft cloth, avoiding harsh solvents that can haze plastics or affect keypad markings over time.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
