Overview
The Attwood Marine 5340-54-7 is a 54 in. all-round navigation light with a folding pole and articulating anti-glare head. It gives 360 degree white light with 2-mile visibility, uses a 9-watt wedge-base incandescent lamp, and is rated for boats up to 39.4 ft. (12 m) in length.
This style of pole light works where the all-round light needs to sit at least 39-3/8 in. (1 m) above the sidelights but a full-length rigid pole is awkward to store. The removable pole folds in half for stowage, and the articulating head helps keep the light aligned when the base is mounted on a flat or angled surface.
Key features
- 54 in. removable pole that folds in half for easier storage between trips
- 360 degree white all-round light with 2-mile visibility for boats up to 39.4 ft. (12 m)
- Articulating head adjusts 15 degrees forward and 15 degrees aft
- Anti-glare aperture blocks light 7.5 degrees below horizontal and keeps more of the beam at the horizon and above
- 2-pin locking collar pole for compatible straight or angled plug-in bases
- Mid-point hinge uses glass-filled composite construction with sheathed wiring at the fold
- 9-watt wedge-base incandescent lamp
Installation and fit
This light is used as an all-round white light or anchor light in systems that take a removable 2-pin locking collar pole. The 54 in. length is useful on boats with low stern decks or mounting points where a shorter pole would not place the light high enough above the sidelights.
The articulating head is helpful when the base is mounted on an angled gunwale or deck cap. It lets the light sit upright without forcing you to change the mounting location. Before ordering, check that your base accepts a 2-pin locking collar pole and that the installed height suits your boat layout.
Use on board
This is a good match for runabouts, center consoles, and fishing boats that remove the stern light after use and need a pole that stores more easily in a locker. It also makes sense for boats that are covered or trailered often, where a long one-piece pole is harder to handle and stow.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
