Overview

The Garmin 010-02881-00/LIVESCOPE is a 12-inch chartplotter and fishfinder bundle built around the ECHOMAP Ultra 2 122sv display with LiveScope Plus LVS34 live-scanning sonar. The screen is a 12.1 in WXGA IPS touchscreen (1280 x 800) with keyed assist, and the unit is rated IPX7 for typical spray and washdown conditions on deck.

It runs on 9 to 18 V DC power and includes built-in sonar support for traditional CHIRP plus ClearVü and SideVü scanning through the 12-pin transducer port. For navigation and repeatability on a spot, it uses multi-band GPS and supports wireless networking and NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 integration for common onboard electronics.

Key features
  • 12.1 in WXGA IPS touchscreen (1280 x 800) with keyed assist for quick control at the helm or bow
  • IPX7 water rating for rain, spray, and routine washdowns
  • Built-in sonar support with 600 W output, plus ClearVü and SideVü scanning via the 12-pin transducer connection
  • LiveScope Plus LVS34 live-scanning sonar support for real-time views, including Forward and Down, with Perspective available when mounted for that view
  • Multi-band, multi-constellation GPS with a 10 Hz receiver for tighter position tracking and waypoint repeatability
  • NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 compatibility for connecting to heading sensors, VHF and AIS inputs, audio integration, and other common network devices
  • Built-in Wi-Fi and ANT+ connectivity for wireless sharing between compatible units and mobile pairing features
  • Two microSD card slots for charts, data, and recording management
Installation and setup

The display can be bail-mounted or flush-mounted, so it works whether you are rigging a bow electronics plate for a trolling motor setup or installing at the console. Plan cable routing with vibration in mind, and keep connectors supported so they are not hanging under the dash or in a rod locker.

Power is 9 to 18 V DC. Typical draw is around 2.5 A at 12 V, with up to 5.0 A maximum, so it is worth giving it a clean, fused electronics feed. On 24 V boats, feed it from a regulated 12 V electronics bus or a converter that stays within the input range.

Sonar and on-water use

The ECHOMAP Ultra 2 122sv can handle your day-to-day structure work with traditional and scanning sonar, then switch to live-scanning when you want to watch fish and bait move in real time. That mix is handy for everything from slow-trolling and jigging to working docks and brush piles where you want quick feedback on what is actually happening under the boat.

LiveScope Plus LVS34 operation uses a GLS 10 sonar module between the transducer and the display. The LVS34 transducer can be mounted for different viewing modes depending on orientation and the bracket setup, so the best mounting location is usually driven by where you fish from on board and how often you stow the motor or pole.

Networking and system integration

For boats with other electronics, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 support makes it straightforward to share data across a marine network. Wireless networking can share items such as waypoints and routes between compatible units, which is helpful when you run one screen at the console and another at the bow.

This setup is a strong match for anglers who want one large screen that can cover navigation and sonar without bouncing between multiple smaller displays, especially on bass boats, bay boats, and center consoles that split time between coastal cruising and focused fishing runs.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
