Overview
The Lumitec Exuma Courtesy Light is a compact LED courtesy and accent light for steps, toe-kicks, companionways, and other low-glare locations on board. It runs on 10-16 VDC and draws only 0.55 W, making it easy to leave on for night lighting without putting much load on the house battery.
The body is fully sealed to an IP67 rating and sits close to flush once mounted. With an outside diameter of 0.98 in and a depth of 0.44 in, it fits in tight spaces like cockpit coamings, helm pods, cabinetry, and under-gunnel areas where you want light without a bulky fixture.
Key features
- IP67 sealed for washdowns and wet exterior mounting locations

- Mounting holes sized for 3/32 in pilot holes and #4 fasteners
- Listed as compatible with third-party dimmers (3PD)
- Color Match Commitment (CM) for consistent appearance across multiple lights
- CE certified
Variants
This series is offered with two housing finishes and multiple light colors. Finish options include polished stainless steel and white stainless steel, which helps match surrounding hardware and gelcoat.
Light color options include white, warm white, red, and blue. Red is commonly used for night lighting where preserving dark adaptation matters, while blue is often chosen for accent lighting. White and warm white are typically used for general step and walkway visibility.
Installation and setup
Exuma mounts on the surface with a close-to-flush profile. Plan the location so the wiring can pass behind the mounting surface and the fixture can sit flat without rocking on texture or nonskid.
For exposed mounting areas, keep water out of the fastener holes and wiring path with good installation practices such as sealing penetrations and supporting the cable so it does not chafe under vibration.
Electrical and system integration
Wire the light to a switched 12 VDC lighting circuit within the 10-16 VDC operating range. Protect the circuit with an appropriately sized fuse based on the number of lights on the run, and place the fuse according to normal marine wiring practice.
If you plan to dim the light, it is listed as compatible with third-party dimmers. Confirm the dimmer is intended for low-current LED loads and install it on the correct side of the circuit per the dimmer manufacturer.
Compatibility and fit
This fixture is a good match for boats that need small courtesy lights in tight mounting areas, including center consoles, cruisers, and sailboats with narrow companionway steps. The small diameter and shallow depth make it practical for cabinetry faces, stair risers, and under-helm panels where space behind the surface is limited.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue from the lens and housing during routine washdowns, and use mild soap when needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the finish, and periodically check fasteners in high-vibration locations.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
