It's time to make our way back to the dock. Your motor cranks at full power when you let go of the throttle, yet your boat remains still. Alternatively, it can occasionally go very slowly, almost as if the motor had no propeller. To check if the prop is still in position, you turn off the engine and raise the drive. So, what's going on here? You may have a "spun" propeller hub. In other words, because the hub has failed, the engine no longer turns the propeller. To get back on track, you'll need a spare hub kit.
