Overview
The Blue Sea Systems C-Series is a double-pole flat rocker circuit breaker for DC marine electrical systems where high-current load protection and manual switching are needed in one panel-mounted device. This magnetic hydraulic breaker is available in 150A DC and 200A DC versions, with two poles, a 48V DC maximum rating, and a 5000A interrupt capacity at 48V DC.
It is a practical match for equipment such as inverters, bow thrusters, and windlasses, where the circuit breaker must handle heavy DC loads while staying accessible at the electrical panel. The flat rocker actuator sits flush in the ON position to reduce the chance of accidental switching, and the colored actuator clearly shows when the breaker is OFF.
The trip-free mechanism means the breaker cannot be held closed after a trip. For installers, the 1/4-20 tin-plated brass terminal studs and 6-32 stainless steel mounting screws support a secure installation in marine electrical panels exposed to vibration and regular service checks.
Key features
- Double-pole C-Series breaker for high-current DC circuits, with 150A DC and 200A DC variants.
- Magnetic hydraulic trip-free construction prevents the breaker from being held closed after a trip.
- Combines circuit protection and manual switching in one device, reducing the need for a separate switch in many panel layouts.
- Rated for up to 48V DC with 5000A interrupt capacity at 48V DC.
- Flat rocker actuator sits flush when ON to help prevent accidental switching in busy electrical panels.
- Colored actuator gives a clear OFF indication during troubleshooting, shutdown, or system checks.
- 1/4-20 tin-plated brass terminal studs support secure cable connections for high-current circuits.
- Operating temperature range from -40° C to 85° C suits engine rooms, technical spaces, and exposed marine electrical compartments.
- 10,000 switching-cycle rating supports regular use as both breaker and service switch.
Variants
This C-Series double-pole flat rocker breaker is offered in two DC amperage configurations. The amperage rating is the main difference between the variants.
Both variants share the same double-pole format, flat rocker actuator style, magnetic hydraulic trip-free breaker type, 48V DC maximum rating, 5000A interrupt capacity at 48V DC, and 1/4-20 tin-plated brass terminal studs.
- 7475: 150A DC. This version suits high-current DC circuits where the system design calls for a 150A breaker in a double-pole panel position.
- 7476: 200A DC. This version suits high-current DC circuits where the system design calls for a 200A breaker in the same C-Series double-pole format.
Installation and fit
This breaker is intended for panel mounting in marine electrical systems. The terminal stud torque is 35 in-lb, and the mounting screw torque is 6 in-lb, which helps installers tighten the breaker correctly without damaging the hardware or panel.
The double-pole layout allows both poles to trip together if one pole trips, which is important in circuits where paired conductors or linked circuit control must open together. Before installation, match the breaker amperage to the wire size, load requirements, system voltage, and the vessel electrical plan.
Use on board
For cruising boats, sportfishers, and workboats with heavy DC equipment, this breaker gives the operator a clear and accessible way to shut down or reset a protected circuit. It is especially useful in battery and load distribution areas where service access, clear status indication, and dependable trip behavior matter during real-world use.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
