Overview
The Lumitec 101680 is a Kraken secondary power supply with opto-coupler that expands a dock lighting setup by distributing 24VDC power to multiple Kraken underwater lights from one sealed enclosure. It is rated for up to 480W total load and is intended to support up to six Kraken underwater lights when the combined draw stays within the supply limits.
The enclosure is IP67-rated and measures about 11 in wide x 5.25 in tall x 5.4 in deep, which helps when you are planning space on a dock pedestal, seawall, or inside a utility cabinet. Inside, power is organized with bus connections and built-in DC breakers, so you can land multiple light runs neatly without turning the box into a bundle of inline fuses.
This is a good fit for larger slips and waterfront installs where you want more lights than a single controller can reasonably feed, but you still want clean wiring and predictable protection in a wet, salty environment.
Key features
- 24VDC low-voltage distribution for Kraken underwater lights, with a 480W maximum load rating.
- Supports up to six Kraken underwater lights when total system draw is kept within the power supply limits.
- Two opto-couplers for control signal handling, with support for connecting two POCO channels per box.
- Built-in DC breakers including a dedicated 20A breaker for the constant 24VDC bus and two 10A breakers shared across the channel outputs.
- IP67-rated weather-sealed enclosure for outdoor wet locations and routine washdowns.
- Compact footprint (about 11 in x 5.25 in x 5.4 in) for mounting on pilings, dock structures, or inside a protected dock box.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting spot so every light cable reaches the enclosure without splices below the dock deck, then route cables where they will not chafe against pilings, ladders, or moving gear. Mount the enclosure at least 1 foot above ground level with the high and low voltage cables pointing down, and keep a small standoff behind the back plate for airflow.
Feed each run through the bottom cable glands, tighten the glands until the jacket is secure, then land conductors on the internal buses and channel connections. Supply power from a GFCI-protected circuit and avoid feeding the unit from a dimmer circuit.
Compatibility and system integration
This secondary power supply is part of the Kraken dock lighting system and is used to add capacity for additional underwater lights. It does not include the POCO control module, so system control is handled through a Kraken Command Box that contains the POCO controller.
It is intended for underwater Kraken lighting loads and is not used for above-water lighting control. For mixed Kraken setups that include Nautilus piling lights or Scallop pathway lights, those fixtures need to be connected through a Kraken Command Box with the POCO module rather than relying on the secondary box for control.
Maintenance and care
Periodically open the enclosure to confirm glands are tight, wiring is clean, and there are no signs of overheating or water intrusion. On docks with heavy salt spray, a quick visual check at the start of the season and after major storms helps catch loose hardware or abrasion before it becomes a power or nuisance trip issue.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
