This mount is intended for the 12-inch touchscreen units in these GPSMAP families, and the chartplotter itself is not included. It is a practical choice for dash tops, electronics boxes, and overhead consoles when you want the unit above the surface instead of flush-mounted.

Installation and setup

Mount the bracket on a flat, rigid surface at the helm. If you are fastening into thin fiberglass or a panel, a backing plate helps keep the mount stable when the boat is pounding, and sealing fastener holes helps prevent water intrusion into cored structures. Once the unit is seated in the bail, tighten the knobs to hold the angle you want, then re-check tightness after the first few trips as hardware beds in.
