Overview
The Lumitec TouchDome is a touch-controlled, surface-mount LED dome light with a stainless steel bezel that has a polished finish and two-color dimming output. It runs on 10-30 VDC, draws about 6W, and puts out up to 244 lumens in white light. The fixture is IP67-rated and measures 6.75 in in diameter by 1.13 in deep.
Two marked contact points on the lens handle on/off, dimming, and color change, so you can operate it with wet hands or gloves. It fits well in cabins, heads, and cockpits, and it also works in utility spaces where you want a sealed light and a second color option for nighttime use.
Key features
- Surface-mount footprint: 6.75 in diameter x 1.13 in depth
- 10-30 VDC input for common 12V and 24V boat systems
- Up to 244 lumens in white light; white CCT 5000K; CRI 70+
- About 6W draw (410 mA at 12V DC; 215 mA at 24V DC) for typical cabin-light circuits
- Two touch contact points for on/off, dimming, and color change, including operation when wet or while wearing gloves
- IP67 sealed construction for damp lockers, heads, and washdown-prone areas
- USCG ignition protected
- Mounting pattern uses three #6 screws and a 3/4 in wire exit hole through the mounting surface
- Second contact point can be wired to switch an external lighting circuit; the external circuit is protected by a built-in breaker that trips above 2.5A
Variants
TouchDome is offered in two light-color configurations. Each version dims and switches between white and a second color using the touch contact points on the lens.
The housing, mounting footprint, and electrical range remain the same across the range. The difference between variants is the secondary color channel.
- 101097: Light Color White/Blue. Blue light is often used for low-glare cockpit or deck lighting after dark.
- 101098: Light Color White/Red. Red light is commonly used to reduce night-vision disruption when moving around at night.
What’s included
- TouchDome light fixture
- Three #6 self-tapping mounting screws
- Drill template printed on the instruction sheet
Installation and setup
This is a surface-mount light. Plan for a 6.75 in diameter footprint, then use the drill template to mark three mounting holes and a 3/4 in wire exit hole. Mount with three #6 self-tapping screws and tighten them snugly without over-tightening.
After installation, keep both contact points accessible, since that is where on/off, color change, and dimming are controlled.
Electrical and system integration
TouchDome runs on 10-30 VDC and draws about 410 mA at 12V DC or 215 mA at 24V DC (about 6W) in white mode. It can be installed on a typical switched cabin-light circuit while keeping the touch controls available at the fixture.
When the second contact point is wired to control an external lighting circuit, it acts as an on/off control and the external circuit is protected by an internal breaker that trips above 2.5A. Cycling power to the TouchDome resets the breaker.
Use on board
This light is a good match for boats that want an overhead dome light you can dim at the fixture and switch to red or blue for nighttime movement. The IP67 seal also makes it practical for damp spaces like heads, lockers, and hardtop undersides where spray or condensation is part of normal use.
Maintenance and care
Clean the lens and bezel with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners that can haze the lens or scratch the polished finish.
Shipping

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
