Overview
The Lumitec Halo Flush Mount Downlight is a sealed LED downlight for 10-30 VDC systems, with a 4W rating and an IP67 housing for interior or exterior mounting on a boat.
It has a 1.99 in (5.05 cm) face diameter and a 0.70 in (1.77 cm) overall depth, with a shallow profile that installs with less than 1/2 in mounting depth. That makes it a good fit for headliners, hardtops, helm pods, lockers, and other tight areas where clearance behind the panel is limited.
Power wiring is straightforward and polarity-sensitive, and the different lighting behaviors (single color, multi-color, and dimming on certain versions) are handled in the light’s circuitry, which helps keep refits clean when you are replacing older puck lights or adding new zones.
Key features
- Runs on 10-30 VDC, so it fits both 12V and 24V DC systems
- IP67 sealed housing for wet areas and washdowns, but not intended for permanent underwater mounting
- 1.99 in (5.05 cm) outside diameter with 0.70 in (1.77 cm) overall depth and less than 1/2 in mounting depth
- Light body diameter is 1.20 in (3.05 cm), and a print-to-scale mounting template is used for the cutout and screw holes
- Multi-color and dimming functions on applicable versions work without external control modules or extra wire runs
- Each light can draw up to 580 mA at 12 VDC or 320 mA at 24 VDC depending on mode, so circuit protection should be sized for the total load
Variants
This downlight is offered with two trim finishes (brushed stainless steel or white) and multiple light outputs, including Spectrum RGBW, warm white with dimming, fixed white, and multi-color combinations such as white/blue/red/purple.
Some configurations are on/off only, while others include dimmable white and or multi-color control. On switch-controlled color versions, toggling power off and back on steps through the available colors, and leaving power off briefly resets back to white.
What’s included
- Halo flush mount downlight
- Mounting plate
- Mounting screws
- Yellow rubber installation tool
- Print-to-scale mounting template and instructions
Installation and setup
Use the supplied template to drill the center hole and the screw holes, fasten the mounting plate with the included screws, then connect the leads to the vessel’s DC power (black to negative or ground, and the white or red lead to positive). Insert the light body into the mounting plate and rotate until it clicks into place.
Multiple lights can be installed on the same switch circuit. If color-changing lights become out of sync, switching the circuit off for about 3 seconds resets them together.
Use cases on board
This style of flush downlight works well in cabins, staterooms, heads, helm stations, and under hardtops or flybridges where you want overhead light without giving up much depth behind the mounting surface.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt spray when practical and wipe the lens and trim with a soft cloth. Avoid aggressive solvents that can haze lenses or mark finished trim.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
