The primary function of a VHF antenna is to act as a radiator for the energy produced by the radio's transmitter and to guide it in the proper direction. They are made to receive signals between 30 and 300 MHz, which deteriorate at a slower rate than UFH (Ultra-High Frequency) frequencies, allowing for a wide broadcast range. Sea-Dog Marine offers an Antenna Base that is a part of the operation of the VHF system. This Adjustable Antenna Base has dual swiveling mounts for maximum flexibility, as well as a ratchet-style handle for mounting on the side or deck. This product also replaces 3-329230, 329230-1, 329230, 35514329019.
