Overview
The Vimar Eikon universal master dimmer push button is a flush-mount phase-cut dimmer for onboard AC lighting circuits, with versions for 120V/60 Hz and 230V/50 Hz systems. It handles incandescent loads from 40 to 400 W, electronic transformers from 40 to 300 VA, dimmable CFL lamps from 10 to 200 W, and dimmable LED loads from 3 to 200 W.
Control happens through the built-in push button or from external NO push buttons, so the same lighting circuit can be switched and dimmed from more than one point. Minimum brightness can be adjusted at the device, and the control stays visible in the dark, which is useful in cabins, passageways, and other low-light interior spaces on board.
The body is thermoplastic with a matte finish, screw-terminal connections, and IP40 protection. Depending on version, the dimmer measures about 22.2 to 22.3 mm wide, 49 mm high, and 50 to 51 mm deep, so it suits compact flush installations in protected interior areas.
Key features
- Phase-cut dimming for AC lighting circuits in either 120V/60 Hz or 230V/50 Hz systems
- Supports incandescent lamps from 40 to 400 W, electronic transformers from 40 to 300 VA, dimmable CFL lamps from 10 to 200 W, and dimmable LED loads from 3 to 200 W
- Built-in push-button control with support for NO peripheral push buttons from additional control points
- Minimum brightness adjustment to help tune low-end dimming on compatible lamp loads
- Screw-terminal wiring in a flush-mount body with click-in fastening
- IP40-rated device with a control that remains visible in darkness
Variants
This range varies by line voltage and finish. Versions are available for 230V in grey, silver, and white, and for 120V in grey, silver, and white.
The operating format stays the same across the range: push-button phase-cut dimming, the same supported load families, flush mounting, screw-terminal connection, and IP40 protection. The 120V models pair with 60 Hz systems, while the 230V models pair with 50 Hz systems.
Compatibility and fit
This dimmer is a good match for boats that use Vimar Eikon devices in cabins, salons, passageways, or other protected interior spaces where a flush finish matters. It is not intended for exposed locations, and this range is not for Isoset enclosures.
Installation and setup
Before fitting one to a vessel, the main points are matching the boat's AC voltage and frequency to the correct version and confirming that the connected lighting load falls inside the supported dimming range. That matters on boats with shore-power conversions or imported electrical equipment, where 120V/60 Hz and 230V/50 Hz systems may look similar at the switch face but are not interchangeable at the circuit level.
It also suits layouts where dimming is needed from the main control point and from additional normally open push buttons around the cabin. That setup works well when one light group is used from an entry point and again from a berth, companionway, or seating area.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
