Overview
The Attwood Marine Fold-Up Trailer Jacks is a sidewind, fold-up trailer jack range for boat trailers using a 3 inch x 5 inch tongue, with 1000 lb and 1500 lb capacity options. It supports the trailer tongue during hitching, unhitching, and short positioning moves around the driveway, storage area, or launch ramp.
Both versions swing up and out of the way when the trailer is ready to tow, helping keep the jack clear of the road and ramp approach. The range uses corrosion-resistant zinc-plated steel tubing and polypropylene wheels, which are practical choices for trailer hardware that sees water, road spray, and dockside storage.
Key features
- Fits 3 inch x 5 inch trailer tongues, a common size on many boat trailer frames.
- Fold-up mount lets the jack swing away from the ground when the trailer is moving.
- Sidewind handle gives manual control when raising or lowering the trailer tongue.
- Corrosion-resistant zinc-plated steel tubing helps the jack handle regular use around ramps, washdowns, and outdoor storage.
- Polypropylene wheel construction works well for routine trailer positioning on firm ramp, driveway, and storage surfaces.
- Available in 1000 lb single-wheel and 1500 lb dual-wheel configurations to match different trailer tongue load needs.
Variants
This trailer jack range is offered in two configurations. The main differences are lift capacity and wheel layout, so the selection comes down to the trailer tongue load and how the trailer is handled when it is off the tow vehicle.
Both variants keep the same fold-up, sidewind style and 3 inch x 5 inch tongue fit. The wheel configuration changes the way the jack sits and rolls during short trailer movements.
- 11126-4 has a 1500 lb capacity with dual 6 inch polypropylene wheels. The dual-wheel layout gives the jack a wider rolling contact point for heavier tongue support, with 12 inches of travel lift and 26 inches of lift.
- 11127-4 has a 1000 lb capacity with one 6 inch polypropylene wheel. The single-wheel layout keeps the jack simple for lighter trailer tongue loads, with 10 inches of travel lift and 24 inches of lift.
Installation and fit
Before installing, confirm that the trailer tongue measures 3 inch x 5 inch and that the mounting location gives the jack room to rotate between the vertical support position and the folded towing position. Check clearance around the winch stand, bow stop, coupler, safety chains, and trailer wiring so the handle can turn freely and the wheel does not interfere with nearby trailer hardware.
The jack should be used within its rated capacity and on surfaces suitable for a wheeled trailer jack. On soft gravel, sand, or uneven ramp edges, the trailer may be harder to move by hand, especially with heavier boats and loaded trailers.
Use on boat trailers
This range fits boat owners who need a straightforward manual jack for everyday launch-ramp and storage use. It is especially useful for hitching the trailer at home, adjusting coupler height at the ramp, and moving the trailer short distances when the boat is not connected to the tow vehicle.
For saltwater use, rinse the jack and wheel area with fresh water after launch days and keep the pivot and moving parts clean. Regular checks around the mounting area, handle, wheel, and locking position help keep the jack ready for the next tow.
